Shhh!

Joel Said Don’t Tell It

After the publication of my first book, God is All, a flood-tide of speaking opportunities rushed in. One of the first classes was for an Infinite Way group in Fairfax, Virginia. During that class, a woman interrupted to say, “But Joel Goldsmith said you should never tell people your Revelations. He said that you lose God and possibly your demonstration when you share it.”

You could hear the gasps of horror when I said, “Joel must have been drinking when he wrote that. There is no power but God, and God cannot lose Itself.” People left the class confused thinking, “Well, he is right. There is no other power but God, but he’s new on the block. Infinite Way has been around for decades.”

It’s true that Goldsmith wrote and spoke about “spiritual secrecy.” Below are two citations from his book Invisible Supply:

This Is What Joel Wrote

“Secrecy is one of the greatest positive powers ever turned loose in the world. Without secrecy you may as well give up hope of making progress, because the moment you violate spiritual secrecy, you lose God.”

And, “In the past when we prayed and healings took place or supply was increased, we may have felt that we were doing God a favor by telling all our friends how profitable it was to pray and what good things happened through prayer. Let me tell you that this is the fastest way in the world to lose God!”

Losses Not Worth Losing

Of course you cannot lose God, because God is the Substance of your Identity. Never entertain the idea that you can lose God. You can’t! Nor can you lose the power of your Revelation. God is the only Power.

However, you can lose something else, and for that reason I’m writing this post. You can lose, or seem to lose, credibility and the closeness of friends and family. The less plausible your experiences and Revelations, the wider the gap grows between you and your loved ones.

A man I know once shared a story about an instantaneous demonstration of money (it seemed to appear out of nowhere). The room was silent. Faces twisted into ugly knots of flesh. Credibility was questioned. Although he had many more experiences like that, he learned to keep his mouth shut.

If you are a Lillian DeWaters reader, you may recall the story of how she avoided hitting a car by going through the car. No one was hurt. Can you imagine the looks on the faces of her friends and family when she told that story? Had you been there, what would you think?

If it weren’t for the gossip spreading like wildfire about a miraculous event that happened on the corner, no one would have ever believed her. The story seems freakishly bizarre, but I guarantee that as your awareness of God’s Allness “evolves,” you will have unbelievable Revelations and experiences. So please keep your mouth shut.

You’re Not Alone

By the time you enjoy these intellect-defying Revelations and experiences, the Truth of God’s Allness will mean everything to you. It is more important than eating and breathing. Will you be able to talk to anyone about them? Yes!

Your Consciousness will always provide at least one person who is open and receptive to these experiences. Often that person is enjoying similar experiences and Revelations and has been waiting to meet the right someone to share them with. It is the best partnership possible. This person will be closer than a sibling – nearer and dearer than any family member.

Keep praying. Keep contemplating. Keep hearing the “still small voice.” And keep your mouth shut. You will know when to open it.
