Do You Want To Live Truth?

You-Are-The-Way-The-Truth-And-The-Life

The Question

“Allen, I’ve read all the books, traveled around the country to hear the lectures. I’ve sat in many tape groups. I’ve done all the stuff, but now I want to live this Truth. The reading, Allen, is easy. Everybody reads the Truth, but few are living it. How do I live this Truth?”

The Partial Answer

That question is asked more than any other question. The partial answer is simple: YOU CAN’T LIVE THIS TRUTH. Anyone trying to live this Truth will fail. After years of sitting in silences, and toiling away at right thinking, most reach the conclusion that “It can’t be done.” But there are a few troopers who dig their heels in by sitting in longer silences and thinking statements of Truth more vigorously. Later, they reach the same conclusion: “It’s impossible to live this Truth.” But don’t you believe it! It is not impossible.

Relax! Truth Is Living Itself As Yourself

Truth (God being All) is all that there is. Truth is living Itself all the time. Truth doesn’t need co-workers and co-creators to live Itself. Right this very moment, as you are reading this post, Truth is living Itself as the entirety of the universe – Yourself included. So, where does that leave folk who are trying to live this Truth? Nowhere. But for clarification read on.

Right Identification Is The Secret

Do you know what the secret of Christ Jesus’ mind-blowing miracles is? It’s the way he identified himself. “I am the way, the truth and the life” (John 14:6). Jesus did not identify himself as a seeker of Truth, or as one trying to live this Truth. He identified himself as Truth.

Why is this important? Because when you discover that you are Truth, there is no separation between your Self and Truth. The greatest joy in life is when you discover that you are the very Truth you have been trying to live. This can’t be by merely saying words. This must be Revelation.

Prayerfully discovering that you are Truth extinguishes the anxiety and effort of trying to live Truth. Effortlessly, life “falls into place” in very pleasant ways. I’m not saying that there will be no further “so-called” challenges. And I’m not saying that you will walk across the water in your jacuzzi. I am saying, however, that as your understanding of what it means to be Truth clarifies, life shows forth more of its beauty, perfection, joy and abundance.

The Full Answer

In the opening of this post I wrote that you can’t live this Truth, but don’t despair. The full answer is YOU CAN’T LIVE THIS TRUTH AS LONG AS YOU IMAGINE YOURSELF TO BE SOMETHING OTHER THAN TRUTH.

How To Have Better Conversations

Business people talking together at water cooler

Do Your Conversations Stray From God’s Allness?

Conversations often stray far away from God being the only Presence and Power. You start the day knowing that God is the only Presence, but before you know it you’re talking about idiots, stupidity, disease, death, lack and a host of other un-Godly ideas. You do reach a point where these types of conversations turn your stomach.

When you find yourself in an uncomfortable conversation, you’ve probably tried changing the subject. That works for a second, and then the conversation makes a U-turn back to more dualistic drivel. If it’s a telephone conversation, you probably tried this one: “I’ve got to go. Someone’s trying to get me on the other line.”

Keeping And Getting Your Conversations On Track

Reader, this post helps when your every effort to steer the conversation into Godlier ports fails. Below are a few practical and helpful suggestions:

  • If it is a telephone call: Before you call the number or pick up the receiver, remind yourself that there is only ONE mouth and only ONE ear – God, the Infinite I AM. The speaking mouth and the hearing ear are ONE and the same Presence and Power.
  • If you are speaking in person: Look at her(him) and know that before you is the moving, living, breathing Presence of the Infinite I AM Consciousness that knows God is All.
  • As the conversation continues: You may have to frequently remind yourself of the One Mouth and One Ear. Know that all parties involved in the conversation are the One speaking Mouth and One Hearing Ear.

I know that speaking and hearing seem like human activities, but there is a spiritual principle behind them. For the next 7 days, work with these ideas. Don’t look for results. Just dive in and enjoy.

Planning For Life

live

In the previous post (Throw Yourself A Life Party), I mentioned a must-read book Immortality Brought To Light by Dorothy Rieke. Below is an excerpt.

What’s Your View Of Death

Have you been regarding death as a friend, as an enemy, or as absolute nothingness? There appeared in the Reader’s Digest of February, 1952, a condensation of the book The Will to Live by Dr. Arnold A Hutschnecker. I was greatly impressed that everything this enlightened physician had to say pointed to the fact that no one ever passes on unless he has planned it. What are you planning? Are you planning on living, or planning on dying? Be careful. Sometimes the planning can be very subtle. You stoutly declare, “I shall never die!” but have you bought your cemetery lot? Have you made a will? Do you carry life insurance? Do you have your house in order so that if you pass on you won’t be embarrassed with the condition in which others will find it?

A Case of Careless Planning

I know of a case where, in spite of the help given by a devoted, sincere, consecrated practitioner, the individual passed on. When friends called at the mortuary, the family proudly displayed a letter that the patient had written several months before passing on. It is true the latter was beautifully written, and some sweet sentiments were expressed. But this patient planned so surely on death that she had written a letter to that effect. Everyone else though it was a wonderful letter. I didn’t. I felt the patient could have made far better use of her time cooperating with the practitioner, and planning on living, rather than dying.

Plan To Live and Live Abundantly

Sometimes you hear the statement, “What’s the matter with practitioners? Why are so many metaphysicians passing on?” Here is the one answer. Too many are planning on dying. Let all of us right here and now start planning to live and live abundantly. Quit saving your money so you can leave it to your children. Isn’t that another subtle bit of planning? Live now. Use your resources now, and know that God will continue to provide for you abundantly and boundlessly and for all your children….
