Don’t Fear The Pandemic — Or Anything

fn

Masks Can’t Hide Their Joy

Churches are reopening in some parts of the United States. Like cold molasses, people are slowly dripping into their chosen churches. Even mask-covered faces can’t hide the joy of people reuniting with their church families.

It’s been slow. Each week one or two more people show up – at least at the church I pastor.

When my church decided to reopen, I suggested that we take a poll to see how many people were comfortable coming back. Enough replied, “I’m ready and I’m not afraid,” so we decided to reopen. But many – far too many – are afraid. One woman said, “I will support the church financially, but I’m scared. I won’t return until this thing is over.”

I commend the people who have honestly admitted, “I’m afraid.” Now, they can take the necessary steps to move out of that space.

Did The Fearful Admit This, Too?

There is something larger here than mere church attendance. Mind you, these are the same people who, for years, sat in church and mouthed the words, “God is the one Presence and Power – in, through and as all the universe.” I wonder if they have been equally honest with themselves and admitted, “Although I came to church every Sunday and affirmed God is the only Power, I must not know it. If I did, I wouldn’t be afraid?”

This is the kind of courage and honesty that is needed to move out of this seeming trench of fear. Be clear. Moving out is a must. One cannot allow themselves to stay in the mindset that something is going on other than God. Why? Because it’s a fictitious mindset.

How Long Are You Going To Loiter In Fear

No one can continue to read the books and listen to the lectures proclaiming God’s Allness and expect to experience this Truth as a practical reality if they allow themselves to loiter in fear. Fear is not a comfortable experience. Nothing unreal can ever be comfortable.

Reader, perhaps the coronavirus (or something else) has you cowering in fear. If that’s so, I have two questions for you. Are you going to linger in fear? Or, are you going to say to yourself, “I’m not willing to stay here. I believe in my heart that God is the only Presence and I’m going to dig deeper in silent prayer until I strike a clearer realization that God is All?”

It Starts With The Heart

People have said, “Allen, I’m afraid but I don’t want to be. How do I get out of this place?” Here’s a suggestion on how to proceed. First set your heart on knowing God’s Allness. It starts there. If your heart is not in it, nothing will come of it.

Then, in your quiet time, ask of your impersonal God Consciousness, “Is there another Presence and Power other than the Presence You are?” Listen. Listen expectantly. Listen intently. You will strike oil. The answer will be revealed. Your fearless Self will be revealed in all its resplendent magnificence.

The Fallacy of Fear (M. Watts)

2-timothy-17-prints

“For God has not given us the spirit of  fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

What Isn’t Real Can’t Be Overcome

We read and hear so much about overcoming fear. But fear is not something that can be overcome. (Actually, no illusion can be overcome.) To challenge, resist, or battle fear only seems to enhance the very illusion we are trying to overcome. That which we battle always seems to be more real and formidable until we cease to battle with it.

There is but one way in which we can be forever and completely free from the nightmare called fear. Knowledge is the way. When we know there is nothing to fear, and above all, know why there is nothing to fear, we have completely transcended the last vestige of this phantasmic illusion.

God Being Conscious Is Your Only Consciousness

In order to be completely free from fear, we must know that God is All, All is God. But we must also know just what God is, thus, what all existence is. This is the way, and there is no other way. You see, when we truly know what God is, and All that God is, we know what Man is and All that Man or anything in existence really is.

“God has not given us the spirit of fear.” Spirit is Consciousness; Consciousness is awareness of Being. God is the only Consciousness that can be conscious – or aware of being – as any one of us. God is certainly not conscious of fear. The Consciousness that is God, being our only awareness of Being, is completely unaware of fear. Therefore, we are completely, totally unafraid.

The Presence and Power of Love Is the Backbone of Existence

God is omnipresent Omnipotence, the All-Power, the only Power. Omnipotent awareness of Being is not aware of anything other than Itself. Thus, this omnipotent Consciousness, God, is completely unaware of a suppositional presence or power. We are conscious. As what Consciousness are we conscious? God being conscious as the I AM that we are is our only consciousness of Being. Hence, we cannot possibly be aware of anything other than our God-Self. And we cannot be afraid of our God-Self.

There can be no Power without Love. The Omnipotence that is God is Love. Without Love, there is no Presence, no consciousness of existence, thus, no awareness of being. Awareness of being Love is not an awareness of being in danger or of being threatened by suppositional evil.

Fear is unknown to the omnipotent, omnipresent Consciousness that is God. Love is complete, infinite, boundless, indivisible Oneness, harmony, peace, and Perfection. Perfect Love knows nothing of fear. There is no fear in, or as, Love, and we are this Love.

The Solution For Stubborn Problems

there-is-always-hope-dont-give-up

What You Can Do About A Stubborn Case Is This

It’s time I wrote about those stubborn cases – those problems that seem to cling like barnacles to a whale’s belly. This could be a chronic disease such as asthma, diabetes, arthritis, etc. Or it could look like a chronic case of “I never have enough money.” Then again, it could appear as chronic dysfunctional relationships. Whatever the case may seem to be, the problem looks like it’s been hanging around for years, and you just can’t beat it. Reader, you can’t beat it, but you can know the nothingness of it.

Starting from our basic premise that God is the only Presence, and this Presence is changeless Perfection, you can rest assured that Perfection IS the only Presence and the only Evidence. This, and not the barnacles, is your starting point.

Do you have a long-standing problem that seems real? Have you been trying to heal yourself, or get rid of it? Go back to the starting point and stay there. This has to trigger the realization that since Perfection (God) is All, this thing cannot be, and it is not present. No matter how long-standing the problem has been, a clear realization such as this is like sunlight flooding a room that’s sat in darkness for years. The darkness (trouble) is now nowhere to be found.

Regardless of how stubborn and resistant a problem seems to be, no appearance of imperfection should be tolerated. Stiff and aching joints, frequent migraines, tumors and tubercles, turbulent relationships, paycheck-to-paycheck living – none of these should be tolerated.

Getting Cozy With A Problem Is Not Getting Rid Of It

When a problem seems difficult to “heal,” some resort to snuggling up and getting as comfortable as possible with it. At night, those who seem to suffer from arthritis reach to the nightstand for some pain-relieving ointment. They slather it all over their aching joints and hope for a good night’s sleep. All the while, they have resigned themselves to a lifetime of joint rubbing.

There are some who can’t seem to shake the “I can’t make ends meet” dis-ease, and they enslave themselves to the latest magic-working budget plan. Or, as a woman once told me who could not shake a seemingly dysfunctional relationship syndrome, “I’ll just stick with my same jacked-up friends.”

These are examples of snuggling up to a problem rather than perceiving the nothingness of it. Stop! The realization that God is All must goad you to rise up and say to these hallucinations, “This far and no further.” If you seem to be experiencing a stubborn case of “whatever,” imagine there’s a large black billboard in front of you, and in big bold red letters are these two words: Don’t Resign!

Instead Of The Stubborn Situation, There Is The Perfection Of God

You’ve heard it said that behind every problem is the Perfection of God. For the sake of this article, behind every stubborn case is the Perfection of God. However, this is very dualistic language, so let’s correct it now. Let’s take the next step and know that INSTEAD OF THE STUBBORN CASE, GOD’S PERFECTION IS. Doesn’t this stay true to our starting point? Staying and not straying is the key to resolving seemingly stubborn situations.

The Takeaway

Don’t give in and don’t give up is the take-away from today’s part one of a two-part series. Maybe it’s been months, perhaps years, that you’ve endured your seeming problem, but all the while it was a lie about the Omnipresent Perfection.

All You Need To Know About Your World

ww

Look Around You — Everything Is Wonderful

Wherever you are reading this post, stop and look around you. Soak in the environment. If you can step outside, do so. Look around you. Reader, this world that you are looking at is the world where God is All. This is the world where there is only One Presence, One Power, and One Identity.

Things Are Not What They Seem To Be

Many people say, “Allen I know God is the only presence and power.” Yet, let them keep talking and the conversation steers toward clashes in the home, clashes on the job, body aches, healthcare, bullies, how bad things have gotten, etc. Although they say God is the only Presence, their words reveal that they live in another world where God is not all.

Yes, reader, I know it appears (to some) that this is a material world, but it is not. I know it looks like material laws hold sway, but they do not.

God Is Both The Seer And The Seen

This world you are moving, living and breathing in is God being All. Truth-be-told, this is the world where God is both the seer and the seen. When I think about this so-called world, I often refer to it as a ready-to-take-out-the-oven, fully-baked world. It’s finished, complete, perfect and lacking nothing. This “world” is Perfection Itself – What a Wonderful World.

Reader, as soon as you are able, take a moment to contemplate what is presented in this post. Listen for further Revelation. The Revelations that come forth will be many and wonderful.

Your Doing Is Perfection’s Doing

Solar-System-2

Did I Mislead Anyone?

In a recent post (You Are Powerful…), a reader responded with these words:

“I’d like to offer this for consideration. Infinite Omnipresence doesn’t actually “do”. Nothing can be added to already infinite perfection. The analogy of God maintaining the orbits of planets is more likely as not tending to encourage the view of separate things being governed by God. Doing is as outdated and obsolete as “in” or “becoming”.

When I posted that excerpt from God Is All, I did not intend to lead anyone into the ditch of dualism. I did make the false assumption that readers of that post (most anyway) had already read God Is All and understood that God, the one inseparable presence and power, is all there is of the planets.

God Is Always Doing

Moving on. Should we ditch the word “do”? Not yet! One definition of the word “do” is to be active. God is not only active, but is Activity Itself. This entire universe is alive as the activity (the doingness) of God. The entire universe. This means your Being/Body is the doingness of God. The so-called planets in orbit are the doingness of God.

It is true that God is not doing in the sense of bringing about something, but God is busy in the scintillating and shimmering Activity of Being Itself – Being Itself as Your Self. In the visual experience of illumination, you literally see God’s Doingness (Activity).

Is God Doing the Hurricanes and Avalanches?

No is the short answer. The long answer is God’s doingness is always consistent with God’s nature which is Infinite Indivisibility – LOVE. To be active as violent hurricanes and avalanches, God would have to be self-destructive.

Reader, answer this question: Is destruction Love in action? Then no seemingly destructive activity is the activity of God. Then, what is it? NOTHING.

Are you thinking, “Allen, you can’t really mean that?” Yes, I do. There are many reports on record of praying people who have seemingly stopped hurricanes, typhoons, and tornadoes in their deadly tracks. Explaining how they prayed, they report something like “I just realized only God was present, only God was power. Note the word only. It immediately cancels out the presence and power of hurricanes and the like. The word only immediately reveals them to be NO THING.

God’s Activity in Daily Living

Each morning, remind yourself that you ARE Perfection’s Infinite, Indivisible Activity. Don’t be selfish. Know that everyone (and everything) you see is Perfection’s Infinite, Indivisible Activity – God’s Doingness.

Reader, how can you possibly run into discord and inharmony when you know that ALL ACTIVITY IS THE ONE INDIVISIBLE PRESENCE IN ACTION. With these daily reminders, you have to report that your life seems to be running as smoothly as a well-oiled machine.

In the next post, we will take God’s activity into the business arena.
