Can You Picture It?
After reading the last post, some people responded, “Yes, Allen, all of that sounds fine in theory, but I’m still not seeing the Evidence in my daily living.” If you had a similar response, are you willing to rethink that thought?
With much resistance, I’m pulling out the ol’ snake and rope analogy, but I need your imagination.
Picture you’re strolling through your award-winning vegetable garden. Two feet ahead of you, you spot a black and red snake. Your heart races, but your body freezes. One slow step at a time, you back away.
Later that evening, your three-year-old son ran to the dinner table swinging a red and black rope – the rope you thought was a snake. Answer this question: What did you see? You saw a rope. On the retina of your eye was an image of a rope. You never saw a snake.
Why, you wonder, did your heart race and your body freeze if you only saw a rope? “According to your belief is it done unto you” (Matthew 8:13).
Do You Accept This?
God is the only Presence. As there is nothing else to be present, God is the only Evidence. All that is present to be seen is God. Think about this for a moment. Do you accept this? If so, read on.
You Are Always Seeing The Evidence
Go back to the snake and rope analogy. When you thought you saw a snake, you could say, with conviction, “I don’t see the evidence of a rope.” However, all you ever saw was the rope. Similarly, today you might say, “I’m not seeing the evidence of Truth,” but that’s all you are seeing. Because you know God is All, you know this is true.
A Reminder Never Hurts
From this day forward, frequently remind yourself, “I AM SEEING THE EVIDENCE OF OMNIPRESENT PERFECTION, FOR THAT’S ALL THERE IS TO SEE.”
That’s telling the whole Truth and nothing but the Truth!
