A Special Reader Writes (Insight From Our Editor On Food and Diet)

handwritten letter

Occasionally, Absolutely Yours will feature an “Our Readers Write” post. A reader will share a story of healing or some noteworthy insight. I don’t play favorites, but this post comes from a special reader, Brenda Becker. Brenda is the copy-editor for Absolutely Yours. I can’t blog without her. Her suggestion reveals tremendous insight about food, diet, health, and Substance.

Allen:

The topic of the new year is often about diet/nutrition – that kind of responsibility. And the pressure on people in this country is to try for balance or focus on portions of protein, fats, carbs, etc., usually for health/added health or beauty/added beauty.

So many of us intend to “be good”, “be good at”, or “be fully intelligent” regarding our meals 3 times a day. Thus, it is a hot-topic for many during these first 30 days of January.

I was contemplating that the body and the vitamin pill contain exactly the same substance. So, I was asking myself, why do we need to replenish the former with the latter? Is there a lack or diminishment over a certain number of days that needs to be replenished or shifted from one to the other within the One? Does the All need replenishment? And if so, how would adding the One to the One get the job done?

There is so much pressure to fuel or re-fuel the body, and laced with that is the social responsibility to “replenish” or “work-on” our friendships at the same time by accepting invitations over brunch or at the coffee shop, planning holiday meals to delight, or the social opposite of “comfort” food in isolation.

We are always concerned with this replenishing factor as if the water off the coast of San Francisco need supply, somehow, the water off the coast of Seattle. Yet, the one substance doesn’t deplete or diminish, nor does it burn up or fade its vitality.

Might you do a blog on this “replenishment” factor? It might be interesting to read your take on how unnecessary it truly is, or, maybe, how necessary it truly is? ??????????

Just an idea for discussion at this time of the year.

Thanks in advance for considering.

Want To Be A Better Practitioner — Results Guaranteed

spiritual healing

Practitioners Are Not Healing And What To Do About It

On a Christian Science website, I read a comment complaining that Practitioners of today are no good because they don’t heal. The writer suggested that the higher-ups in the Christian Science movement should get busy and find an effective way to separate the Practitioners who actually “heal” from the Practitioners who merely want to “heal.”

Could the complainer be right? When I was just a puppy in Truth, I called Marie Watts for healing and before an hour passed I was “healed.” I remember calling Eileen Bowden for prayer help and immediately I sprang out of bed, dressed myself, and dashed off to a concert. The healing was instantaneous. There was no waiting days and weeks for a healing.

It seems that today’s Practitioners are better reference librarians than “healers.” Most of them can quote entire books of Joel Goldsmith, Mary Baker Eddy or Marie Watts, and most ask their callers to read related passages from some inspirational book. But, there is no healing.

If you are a Practitioner, or someone who would like to pray more effectively for so-called others, I offer a simple suggestion that is guaranteed to increase the effectiveness of your prayers.

The Simple Suggestion

Practitioner, if you seem to have a longstanding trouble(s), clear it up. Take a look at the list of dis-eases below:
• Financial
• Emotional
• Body
• Social (not sexual)
• Etc.

Rather than continue to endure the dis-ease, clear it up through spiritual discernment. Practitioner, don’t hide under the cloak of denial thinking, “After all, nobody knows that I am suffering from this, so I can just go on ignoring it.” Stop this insanity!

Reader, I guarantee that once you prayerfully address this thing that you have tolerated for all these years – once you get down to prayerful business discerning God’s allness more clearly (clear enough to completely realize the nothingness of your seeming dis-ease) – the effectiveness of your prayers will soar to astounding heights.

A Reader Writes A Riveting Testimony

handwritten letter

A reader from our blog-family sent this inspiring letter.

I am in the process of putting together a journal of a beautiful experience my wife and I have gone through recently. I am referencing scientific and spiritual material to the actual experience. My wife was diagnosed with advanced stage lung cancer in early July and was basically told her time is up. As of the middle of November the cancer was no longer present on the physician’s diagnostic test –CAT and PET SCANS. The Doctors in every department that treated her (Cardiology, Oncology, and Pulmonology) just shook their heads, starting 2 weeks after her diagnosis, at the miraculous recovery and would even comment they have never seen anything like this.Just to give you an idea of physical diagnostic opinions of the physicians. She was asked to go to the ER for an emergency CAT scan after a chest X-Ray the day before showed abnormalities. The Doctors reported their opinion. She had a collapsed lung, the lung cavity had filled with fluid and her heart had moved over to the left side of her chest. Three days later they diagnosed her with inoperable advanced stage Lung cancer and the tumor was blocking the air to that lung by 100%. We both agreed this was just their opinions and were not going to buy into their opinions.

As hectic as all this sounds, from the very beginning we never got upset, angry, or resentful. We lived in a state of non-resistance, peace and gratitude. She remained in the Hospital for 2 weeks the first visit and I experienced the power of grateful heart. She started to cry only once – I told her it’s okay to let things out – She said she is not crying because of any pain, the doctors opinion, or anything that’s related to her health – she was crying because she was so grateful for all the people helping and caring for her.

When asked about her condition from friends and family I never mentioned or discussed the diagnosis or the perception from the Doctors made it my mission to remind people of the Tracy we know – a joyful, caring, grateful, person who radiates love to everyone. I kept the vision of her on her truth as perfection, love and joy.

This entire journey has been a amazing experience. Throughout the treatments we maintained that nothing was there and the Doctors would soon discover the same thing. We constantly reminded and claimed that their comments were just their opinions and were not going to buy into their opinions.

We both study and regularly discuss your books and Marie Watts’ “The Ultimate”. I thank you and Marie for the books you have published and am grateful. We have also are grateful to Rev David Howard, who is our spiritual leader.

Other than you the references you provide on your blog is there other material that you might suggest to study?

In Spirit,
Stephen W.

The Body Month (a God Is All repost)

body of light allen white

If you have attended my lectures, you have heard about the Body Month. And you know that I encourage everyone to have at least one Body Month each year.

Because of (what appears to be) disease, swelling, sickness, aches, aging, deterioration, and downright fleshiness, the Body seems to be a spiritual logjam for most folk. The purpose of Body Month is to rightly perceive the Body through Conscious Revelation. For many, the results of Body Month will appear to be bodily healing, pain release, increase of vitality, and even a de-aging of the Body. But, reader, this is not the purpose of Body Month. The ultimate conclusion of Body Month is to consciously experience and actually see the Body as the Living Light that it is.

Here is a letter that I received from an annual Body Month practitioner:

Dear Allen,

What has been most helpful with the “body month” exercises is that I know I am not confined to nor restricted by the body, nor intimidated by it. Instead I am rejoicing in what Body really is. As there is no Identity but that of the Infinite, is it not correct to say that body is God, Perfection, visible? Or, God, Perfection, identified visibly? This is what feels good and right to me and has given me a sense of freedom from being concerned about body. And, I have need to be clear about this: where is “another” mind to suggest that something is wrong about body? No where!

Last summer I fell hard over rough, rocky terrain injuring the left leg, ankle and foot…the foot and ankle swelling and turning black. I vigorously resisted the temptation for x-rays, etc. I just know that I would not go that route, recalling that in one of your presentations you mentioned that an x-ray cannot show the perfection of Being (this is not an exact quote). I kept my focus on that which is absolutely true while hopping around using a mop handle for balance. It was not long before the foot and ankle were normal and I was wearing shoes and boots again.

For many years there was a quarter-size lump on one hip. I can honestly say it never troubled me and although it was there it gave me no concern…never looked at it, never thought about it. However, a few months ago, I realized it was gone; just when, I have no idea…just gone. At the same time, I saw that a small growth near the nose had disappeared.

This June, repeatedly came the phrase “…all the fullness of the Godhead bodily”–the fullness, the Allness of God, Perfection, bodily! This really resonated most of the month. If I am really convinced that God is All, that Allness embraces all of me: morally, spiritually, physically, giving me a sense of the sweetness and gentleness of the Absolute.

Sincerely
