Understanding Spiritual Experiences

They Sniggered When She Said This

During a class on meditation, a woman captivated the group with her unusual spiritual experience. “I was walking down the main corridor of a mall when, all of a sudden, I found myself upside down on the ceiling of the mall.” You could hear sniggers and hushed giggles as she continued. Later, someone asked me if that was a genuine spiritual experience.

Throughout the years, people have shared stories of kitchen cabinets moving up and down the wall, purple balls flying out of their pastor’s mouth, door knobs moving around the door, and other “strange” occurrences. Were these spiritual experiences? I doubt it.

These Were Actually Spiritual Experiences

Contrast these experiences with the genuine spiritual experiences of Christ Jesus. Every miracle of Christ Jesus was, in fact, a spiritual experience. When he multiplied the loaves and fish, that was a spiritual experience. When he instantly traveled from one side of the sea to the other, that was a spiritual experience. All 37 miracles were spiritual experiences. What’s unusual about Jesus’ spiritual experiences is that they were witnessed by others – many others.

The kitchen shelves moving on the wall, the door knobs circling the door, the woman hanging upside down on the ceiling of the mall – what was the purpose of these events? I ask this question because each spiritual experience of Christ Jesus was a purposeful experience. They were not random, nonsensical events that defied explanation. Each miracle (spiritual experience) was a living demonstration of a spiritual principle. Behind every spiritual experience is a spiritual Truth that warrants the experience.

If you had the chance to witness another person’s spiritual experience, you’d think you saw a miracle. Such was the case when people witnessed the spiritual experiences of Christ. I’m sure many whispered, “Did you see that? It’s a miracle.” But was it? No! Each experience demonstrated a spiritual principle, the most natural thing in the world.

When Christ appeared to raise Lazarus from the dead, it was no miracle. The principle behind that so-called miracle is LIFE (BEING GOD) IS ETERNAL—BOTH BIRTHLESS AND DEATHLESS.

Again, when Christ multiplied the scant supply of bread and fish, it appeared miraculous, yet it was merely proof of the principle that ALL SUPPLY IS OMNIPRESENT AND EVER-PRESENT.

Free Travel Is A Spiritual Experience

My favorite “miracle” of Christ Jesus is found in John 6:19-21. “After they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea. He was coming near the boat, and they were afraid. But he said to them, ‘It is I. Don’t be afraid.'” Then they were willing to take him on board, and at once the boat was at the shore where they were heading.”

Yes, walking on the water is quite impressive, but that’s not the spiritual experience (miracle) that excites me. It’s the fact that when Christ stepped into the boat, they immediately arrived at their destination.

This is no random, inexplicable event. It demonstrates this spiritual principle: IN THE INDIVISIBLE ALLNESS OF GOD, THERE IS NO TIME OR SPACE. THERE IS ONLY HERE AND NOW. Did you know that more and more people are, even in this day and time, having this same experience? For obvious reasons, they aren’t telling too many people.

It Was Necessary, So It Happened

It’s true that most spiritual experiences are spontaneous – sometimes even surprising. You may be walking along, and suddenly your environment is flooded with light. More than surprising, it’s an enchanting and delightful experience.

In most cases of a genuine spiritual experience, there is always a need for the experience. There was a need to feed the multitude. When the disciples were rowing the boat that night, “a high wind arose, and the sea began to churn,” it was necessary for them to get to shore.

The question that is often asked is, “Allen, was this a spiritual experience?” You don’t have to ask me. Ask yourself this question: What spiritual principle is behind this experience? If you can’t answer that question, most likely, it was not a spiritual experience.

How To Have A Spiritual Experience — The Short Answer

I remember a time when people would give their left lung for a genuine spiritual experience. They prayed and waited in long silences hoping to have a spiritual experience. When that failed, their minds went into overdrive imagining events that never really happened.

You can’t force a spiritual experience; neither can you effectively pray for one. But don’t be dismayed. There is a surefire way to “have” spiritual experiences. TAKE YOUR ATTENTION OFF OF EVERYTHING THAT TROUBLES OR CONCERNS YOU AND KNOW GOD TO BE THE ONLY PRESENCE – DESPITE ALL APPEARANCES. When you do that, you will enjoy many wonderful experiences that bear witness to God’s Absolute Allness.

Enlightenment Should Not Take So Long

May I ask a question on something that is puzzling me please? You mention the Infinite Way in a recent post. I read Joel Goldsmith a lot and find much of what he says reflects the Absolute. But I am confused by the insistence on how long revelation takes, all the time required, the degrees to go thru, the initiations. This does not seem to me to accord with the idea of the Finished Kingdom. Can you enlighten me please?

Reading Joel Goldsmith Can Be Frustrating

I was a freshman in college when I embraced silent prayer. That was the same time I reopened The Infinite Way by Joel Goldsmith. Loved it! In all of his writings, Goldsmith focuses on the three keys of spirituality: revelation, realization, and illumination.

Have you read Goldsmith’s books, or listened to his tapes? While listening or reading, did your heart sink? It’s understandable. Joel Goldsmith makes it seem like the path to spiritual enlightenment is a long, slow, and frustrating one. You can read an excerpt from one of his books, and ask yourself, “Am I ever going to get there?”

This Was Revealed At The Dinner Table

As the years went by, I questioned whether this long and slow route to enlightenment was the only route. “Why,” I asked, “can’t there be an expressway to enlightenment?” In the meantime, this happened. On one of my lecture tours in the Midwest, I met Libby – a former student and friend of Joel Goldsmith. Sitting at an outdoor café, under a starlit sky, Libby shared how Joel healed her of a life-threatening disease. I’d heard so many of those stories that I wasn’t impressed. My ears perked up when she told me how Joel struggled with sitting in silence and listening to the “still small voice” within.

From that story and reading his biography, I concluded that spiritual enlightenment was a somewhat long and slow journey for him. His struggle filtered into his many books and lectures.

The Expressway To Spiritual Enlightenment

Let’s go back to my original question: Why can’t there be an expressway to enlightenment? Luckily, there is an expressway to spiritual enlightenment, and you can hop on it once you accept this truth: SPIRITUAL ENLIGHTENMENT IS NOT AN ACHIEVEMENT. IT IS THE NATURAL STATE OF THE ONE AND ONLY MIND.

So much of what’s called “spiritual practice” is based on the goal of achieving spiritual enlightenment, as if it’s something outside of us. There is no outside to the Infinite. All Truth is within you at this very moment. The one and only Consciousness (your one and only Consciousness) is fully illumined right now.

In a nutshell, this means THE ENLIGHTENMENT YOU’VE BEEN SEEKING IS ALREADY YOURS. You don’t have to “get” it, but you do have to accept and acknowledge that ENLIGHTENMENT IS YOUR PRESENT STATE OF BEING.

Have You Heard Of This Law?

I would like to stop here, but I haven’t fully answered the question. What the questioner wants to know is why spiritual enlightenment seems to take so long. He’s only asking because he rightly senses that it should not. So, let’s address the question. There are two reasons. The first reason is addressed in what’s been written above – the belief that you have another mind other than the one enlightened Mind.

The second reason is eye-opening. I’m going to set it up by sharing my story with you. When I was a young pianist, my teacher(s) gave me six or seven weeks to completely learn a Beethoven sonata up to performance level. However, when I was nineteen, things changed. My teacher expected me to bring a sonata up to a near-performance level in one week. Big difference. When I had seven weeks, I took seven weeks. When I had one, it only took one (unless it was one of the knuckle breakers).

Parkinson’s Law – Were these the first words that popped into your mind after reading that scenario? In very simple language, Parkinson’s Law states, “If you give yourself a lot of time to do something, you’ll probably use up all the time, even if you don’t really need it.”

You Don’t Need The Time, So Why Take It?

Believing that spiritual enlightenment takes a lifetime, most people give themselves a lifetime to experience it – even though they don’t need it. Because the one Mind is your Mind, you don’t need time to experience enlightenment. Stop taking the time you don’t need.

There Are No Hopeless Conditions

Lately, I’ve heard too many stories about people ready to make their transition. In most cases, a crippling or fatal disease is involved. In other cases it’s the (seeming) decline of an aging body. For those who are tempted to throw in the towel, I hope you find inspiration from this excerpt of The Finished Kingdom by Lillian DeWaters.

A friend from North Carolina writes, that after years of both mental and bodily suffering from troubles for which there seemed to be no relief, “death, that great nightmare of the phantom world,” came to claim him. At that moment he was suddenly lifted into the plane above and recognized the nothingness of death. Directly over the head of his bed rested a great halo of a billiant, soft light, brighter than any electric light that he had ever beheld.

He declares there was spiritual or supernal force in the room that was irresistible, drawing him up and on, and making clear to him that, in reality, he had never been sick; that he lived, moved and had his being in God’s kingdom right here and now; that this is Life’s glorious city of New Jerusalem. The room seemed filled with the “water of Life” flowing in every direction and filling his consciousness with divine joy and inspiration. Then, the vision ceased; he opened his eyes, knew that he was healed, and arose from what had seemed his death-bed – whole. He declared that for days afterward, he felt as though he were walking on air, he seemed so light and free and glorious.

Many days of seemingly hopeless contemplations of Truth preceded this wonderful experience. Yet, as the story proves, those contemplations were not in vain.

5 Tips To God-Realization

Tip-Sheet

Does the experience of God-Realization seem more elusive than a Big Foot sighting? Are you frustrated because nothing happens when you listen for the “still small voice?” Have you ever thought to yourself: Why can’t I know Truth like Eddy, Aiken, Watts, or Goldsmith? You can. Below are five tips that are sure to open the door of God-Realization.

TIP #1: PURE MOTIVE

The password for God-Realization is a pure heart. Your motive must be pure. Why are you seeking God-Realization? What do you hope will happen once God-Realization is experienced? If the answer to these questions is anything other than the joy of knowing God directly, your motive is not pure. The experience should be (and will prove to be) enough.

TIP #2: YOU ARE THE REALIZATION THAT YOU’RE SEEKING

God is All. God is your Being. There is nothing – not even the false belief of separation – between you and God. There is just God as You. When you consider this fact, it’s easy to see that there is nothing separating you from God-Realization. God-Realization is simply Self-Realization.

The reason Realization seems so elusive is because the so-called seeker is starting from a place of separation. When you sit or lie down to hear, suspend the belief that you and God-Realization are separate. Be willing to accept the idea that the Truth I AM seeking is the Truth I AM.

Realization is not coming to you like a check in the mail. The God-Realization that you seem to be seeking is your very Being. Here’s the Truth: YOU ARE IN A PERPETUAL STATE OF GOD-REALIZATION.

TIP #3: GIVE IT UP

If you can come up with any reason why you cannot realize God’s Presence, that reason will seem to obstruct your realization. That’s as simple as it gets. Although the obstruction is not real, it will seem very real to you. Below are three self-imposed obstruction to God-Realization:

  • guilt
  • self-condemnation
  • unworthiness

You and I have already agreed that there is nothing separating you from the experience of Realization, but do you understand that word nothing? It means no thing. No thing! Not even false ideas or feelings can separate you from God-Realization.

  • What you did in the past cannot separate you.
  • Feelings of unworthiness cannot separate you.

Be willing to give up your self-imposed barriers. When you pray, acknowledge this fact: THERE IS NOT ONE THING THAT SEPARATES ME FROM THE EXPERIENCE OF GOD-REALIZATION.

TIP #4: FORGIVE

Forgiveness facilitates God-Realization. No, anger is not an actual barrier to God-Realization, but it triggers feelings of unworthiness that are hard to shake.

What someone (seemingly) did to you has only the power you give it. All the while, God’s Infinite Goodness is all that is going on in your life – as your life. Knowing this, just forgive. Is it hard for you to forgive? Then, be willing to forgive. A simple willingness will work wonders.

TIP #5: DON’T GIVE UP

I would not be surprised to hear that after taking these tips to heart, you had your first experience of God-Realization. Or, that experiences of God-Realization are more frequent. However, if that is not the case, don’t give up.

Christ Jesus said it best in these words from The Gospel of Thomas: “Let him who seeks not cease from his search until he finds. When he finds, he will be bewildered. He will wonder and reign over all.”

Experiencing Illumination

This Is Visual Illumination

It’s just an ordinary day, doing ordinary things – like walking in the park. It’s the same ol’ trees rooted in their same ol’ places, surrounded by the same ol’ sun-parched grass. Nothing out of the ordinary. And then it happens.

The entire park lights up – grass, trees, people, and all. For a moment it’s all living Light. You don’t know whether you are seeing the Light or being the Light. It’s marvelous. Wonderful! It only lasts for a second, but you know you have seen Existence as it Is. This is an experience of visual Illumination.

Although it’s short-lived, the glow of the experience lasts for days. If you experience visual Illumination only once in your life, it is sure to be your most memorable experience. And, like all good experiences, you’ll long to have it again – soon.

It’s the middle of the night – about 3am. For no particular reason, your eyes open, and you just look around the pitch-black room. And then it happens.

You look at your right foot, and it’s lit up like a neon sign. A current of joy shoots through your body. It’s marvelous. Wonderful. This is another experience of visual Illumination. Visual Illumination is simply seeing the world as it is – a spiritual Presence.

What You Can Do To Experience Illumination

Recently I was asked, “What can I do to experience visual Illumination?” Spiritually minded people hunger for the experience of visual Illumination. For many, it’s the crown jewel of spiritual enlightenment. The truth, however, is that visual Illumination is no more important than the many other forms of Illumination. There are even countless ways to experience visual Illumination.

Know this. There is almost nothing you can do to induce visual Illumination. No special diets, postures, procedures, or mantras. Strange as it seems, anxiously wanting the experience is a sure way to delay it. However, once you’ve given up all hope of ever experiencing Illumination, it is then that your whole world lights up – literally.

Did you notice the words “almost nothing” in the last paragraph? There is one thing you can do to induce Illumination, but let’s build up to it precept-by-precept.

  • God is the Only Presence.
  • God is Illumination (Light).
  • All is Illumination.
  • You are included in (as) the allness of Illumination.
  • You are completely Illumined right now.

Admit This And You’re Well On Your Way

The one thing you can do, and you can do it today, is admit that you are already a completely Illumined Identity. Reader, acknowledge this fact now. Acknowledge it every day. Don’t judge by the appearance that you are an un-illumined being waiting for Illumination. Go back through the precepts. Contemplate every one of them. And then rest in that last Truth by acknowledging, “I am completely Illumined right now.”

Say the words because they are true. By virtue of God’s Absolute Allness, they must be, and are, true. When you sense/feel the rightness of these words, you have done the only thing you can do to enjoy the experience of a Universe of Light.

Illumination Often Looks Like This

d360dbb0-a374-498d-939e-27941d9a2377

Years ago, I wrote a post entitled The Ten Must-Read Books. That list has not changed, but there’s a new list in town, and I’m calling it The Most Fascinating Reads. Topping this unfinished list is Cosmic Consciousness by Richard Bucke.

Cosmic Consciousness is about Illumination. Bucke, however, calls the experience “Cosmic Consciousness.” It’s a long and dense read, but I’m not recommending the entire book. It’s the short chapters (10-36) in Part IV that are fascinating. Here you’ll read thrilling experiences of Illumination by both the famous and not famous. You will read many of these experiences and say, “Wow, that’s happened to me, too. I just thought it was something weird going on.”

Marie Watts cites Cosmic Consciousness in many of her audio recordings. That’s how I discovered it. The book can be purchased on Amazon.com, but it is easier read by following this link. Free stuff is always good.

You will enjoy reading the various experiences of Illumination, and you may be tempted to continue reading the rest of the book. Be careful here! Certain sections are unnecessarily discouraging. Cosmic Consciousness mentions some prerequisites for experiencing Illumination. Trust me when I say you can ignore them.

Wonderful Things Are Happening!

event-cover-8198

Below are two e-mails I received from a reader of Absolutely Yours who lives in the United Kingdom. Let’s call him Ahmed.

[First Communication]

Hi Allen,

I understand that I haven’t yet experienced illumination, but how come, then, I can demonstrate many things?

For example: Last Friday I needed to get to a gathering and I was running late, I placed my attention on Omnipresence and out of the blue, a friend, who I thought was already at the meeting place, offered to give me a lift (he changed his itinerary).

Also, I was at a supermarket. I needed mackerel. There was none there. I went back to the car and then asked my wife: isn’t God the only Presence? I immediately went back in the supermarket and asked a lady who worked there and she pointed me to the item in the very place I had looked but a moment before.

[Second Communication]

I feel I have to share this with you. I am buzzing!

Wonderful things are happening to me in the form of demonstrations; especially with “Presence”. This word is doing wonders for me! Just half an hour or so ago I was stranded at a lay-by where there is no pavement for pedestrians. I needed to get home. I rang a couple of taxis but “you have to give us an exact address otherwise we can’t get to you”. I was panicking but then I was so relieved when I thought of “Presence”. Then I said: “I am not even gonna say anything. I just know that God is the only Presence. Can God be stranded?”. Two minutes later, a van dropped a workman right next to me and I asked him for a lift to my house. Without hesitation, he said: “Yeah ‘course jump in mate”.

I know it’s not extraordinary to give someone a lift but what caused that van to drop that chap right at my feet when I needed a lift the most?

I got home and opened my laptop to tell you about it. I am sooo happy.

I am now wondering what illumination is like. I am already buzzing! as we say in England.

GIST: I haven’t experienced Illumination, and I don’t Self-Question; yet wonderful things happen.

QUESTION: Why can I demonstrate these things without Illumination and Questioning?

An Often Ignored Aspect Of Illumination

I love when readers reach out with an email asking for clarification about something I’ve written. You too have probably thought, “This Allen guy keeps playing the same tune over and over – Self-Questioning and Illumination – but I’m experiencing so much good stuff without it.”

Read my posts carefully, and you’ll see that I do stress visual Illumination. However, visual Illumination is just one aspect of Total Illumination. There’s aural Illumination and many others. One overlooked aspect of Illumination is Spiritual Conviction. Spiritual Conviction is more than blind faith. It brushes aside the seeming and locks in on what IS. There is no effort involved. It’s automatic and it’s spontaneous.

Spiritual Conviction does not try to change a situation from bad to better. It knows, no matter what the seeming, only God is present. Watch how this plays out in Ahmed’s experience.

Spiritual Conviction In Day-To-Day Living

In the first instance, those phantasms – time and space – teamed up to suggest that he was “running late.” Totally ignoring both impositions, Ahmed turned his attention to the FACT of timeless, spaceless Omnipresence. Because of his Spiritual Conviction, the action of turning his attention was automatic. The ride, collapsing both time and space, was incidental to his Spiritual Conviction.

In the second instance, the illusion of absence (mackerel) reared its illusory head. But did it derail Ahmed? No. He said to his wife, “Isn’t God Omnipresent?” Effortlessly, Spiritual Conviction kicked in, and Ahmed knew that God, the All, could not be absent from Itself. Therefore, there could be no absence in the universe. Again, the found mackerel was incidental to his Spiritual Conviction.

When Conviction Is Not Enough

Does Ahmed’s experience invalidate Self-Questioning and Illumination? You know better. Haven’t you, like many of us, had times when Spiritual Conviction was not enough? Usually this is the case with the body and money.

Despite your conviction of God’s Allness, the pain persisted, the swelling increased, the fever lingered, the tumor grew. The days turned to weeks, and the weeks turned to months, yet things didn’t get better.

This is the wonderful opportunity to appreciate what Self-Questioning has to offer. Just a simple question like, “What more do I need to know?” will do the trick, providing you listen for the answer . More on Self-Questioning can be found in the first chapter of my book God is All . Self-Questioning triggers greater Realization of God’s Allness. For example, in Ahmed’s first example, a greater Realization of Omnipresence would’ve taken time and space completely out of the picture. I mean being there without going there. It has happened for a few enlightened individuals.

Seeing What You’re Saying

About Illumination: I do stress visual Illumination, and here’s why. Visual Illumination is seeing this universe as it is. We say God is Spirit and God is All, and all the while we keep looking at a material world loaded with material objects. This is a dualism. An experience of Illumination, no matter how fleeting, obliterates this dualism by seeing the world as Spiritual Substance.

Imagine sitting on your living room sofa. In front of you is a marble coffee table. To your left is a grand piano. Chairs flank the sofa, and artwork hangs in gold frames on the walls. It’s a typical day. Suddenly, the room is flooded with light. All the furniture is there, but the wood, metal and marble are not. In their place is pure Light. This is Illumination. “God is Light.” What’s the benefit? You’ll never again be deceived by the appearance of a material universe. Nor will you consent to material restrictions.

Again, I stress Illumination (particularly visual) because only in Illumination is your seeing and your saying in one accord.

Know The Truth About Your Body

Straight-To-The-Heart

There’s Only One Correct Answer

11 + 52 = ?

Reader, you know the answer to this equation, and you know there is only one correct answer. Children, still a little shaky in math, could write ten different answers, but there is only one correct answer to this equation.

Just like the above equation, there is only one correct answer regarding the nature of the Body, and yet you can flip through several spiritual books that mention the Body and find that they each say something different about the nature of the Body. Even among authors of the Absolute, you will find contradictory opinions about the Body.

Who’s Right? Who’s Wrong?

Some authors say the Body is an idea in Mind devoid of Life, Substance and Intelligence. Other authors say the Body is God embodied, implying that the Body is Life, Substance and Intelligence embodied. Some authors take a left turn down a very dark path and claim the Body does not exist at all. Each camp has its own “followers.” And still, THERE IS ONLY ONE CORRECT ANSWER CONCERNING THE NATURE OF THE BODY – YOUR BODY. You will not be satisfied until you find that answer, and when the true nature of your Body is revealed, you will be astonished by what you discover.

A Thrilling Adventure / An Astonishing Discovery

Are you ready and willing to make this astonishing discovery? Rather than turn to so called “outer” sources, take a thrilling adventure by turning to your Self. Trust me, your Self will not fail you. Years ago a man shared this story with me.

“Allen, for years I did not think that turning within for answers would work for me. Always I reached for a book and randomly flipped through the pages hoping to land on a line or two that I could convince myself to be a revelation. But, these contrived answers didn’t satisfy.

“One day, I made a decision. I said, ‘Thomas, from this day on, you are going to trust your Consciousness to reveal the answers to your questions.’ It wasn’t easy, but I stood firm. I went through a frustrating phase of going within and coming out with nothing. Just when I was about to give up, my Consciousness kicked in gear and answers started coming forth. Since, then I have trusted my Consciousness to reveal any needed Truth. The answers are not instantaneous, but they are satisfying.”

Know That You Know What You Know

I hope the story above gives you confidence to trust “your” Consciousness to reveal the true nature of your Body.

Reader, I have a few questions for you: Is the Body an idea in Mind, or is it Mind Itself? How do you know? Was the answer revealed, or was it merely read in a book? Consciousness knows and will reveal the answer so that you will know that you know what you already know (inherently). Trust it!

Are You Really Seeing That? Because It Doesn’t Exist

Please Answer These Questions

Reader, I have two questions to ask you:

  1. If you visit a loved one in the hospital and see his body apparently ravaged by disease, is that how God is seeing your loved one?
  2. If you see co-workers in a heated argument in the workplace, is God seeing that?

Message From An Enlightened Reader

An enlightened reader wrote to me recently, and I am sharing this portion of his email.

“My observation is that I cannot be doing what God is not doing. I cannot be what God is not. There are no parts of God that aren’t illumined. Therefore, I don’t need to do anything to attain anything that God is already, because God doesn’t do that. I have an issue with sitting and doing something in order to see some light because, for me, the way I am seeing things is how God is seeing things. I don’t have the power to see anything else that is not God.”

Don’t Claim You Are Seeing As God Sees If You Are Seeing These

First, you have to admit this reader is enlightened. What he writes is the Absolute Truth. No one can object to a single statement he writes. However, the italicized section warrants clarification. The writer says, as many readers feel, “the way I am seeing things is how God is seeing things.” But, if you are seeing:

  • fleshy bodies
  • old or young bodies
  • solid substances (forms)
  • collisions (accidents)
  • sick bodies
  • dying leaves or dead bodies
  • evil personalities
  • atrocities
  • lack,

you are not seeing as God sees. God is All, and God cannot see what God is not. God is none of the above, and anyone who seems to see these (self included) is not seeing at all – “having eyes they see not” (Mark 8:18).

Illumined Seeing Is God Seeing

It is true that I and many other authors suggest listening and hearing the still small voice of Consciousness. Inevitably, this results in seeing the Light that Is existence. What the Holy Bible says is true: “God is light.” This is why illumination results in seeing Existence as Light. Only illumined seeing is God seeing. God is nowhere to be found in a fleshy, material, human existence.

I admit that these illumined experiences do seem fleeting and short-lived. However, once you’ve seen existence as it IS, you are never deceived by the impostor of a material world of born and aging bodies, death, evil, lack and accidents. That first flash of illumination stays with you forever. It resets your Reality base.

Let’s Go Back To The Beginning

Let’s go back to those opening questions and look at the answers:

  1. God being All, and God being Perfection, God could not possibly see the disease that God is not being. God is not seeing a disease ravaged body or identity. What God Be’s is what God sees.
  2. God is All, and God is Love. God sees the activity of Love right there where discord seems to be present.

Embrace Effortless Awareness

BeStill-700.png

Flashing Of The Neon Lights

For almost two weeks, like neon lights in the black sky, the words CONSTANTLY CONSCIOUS kept flashing in my awareness. No matter where I was or what I was doing, the words blazed in my mind: CONSTANTLY CONSCIOUS.

Here’s the back story. One night while silently praying, the universal, impersonal Consciousness revealed this idea: YOU ARE CONSTANTLY CONSCIOUS OF GOD BEING THE ONLY PRESENCE, POWER AND EVIDENCE WHETHER YOU ARE CONTEMPLATING OR NOT.

Even When You Think You’re Not, You Are

Reader, please read the revelation again. This is your Truth, and it is your Truth now. Even when you seem to be caught up in the busy-ness of daily living – not even thinking about Truth – you are CONSTANTLY CONSCIOUS OF GOD BEING THE ONLY PRESENCE, POWER AND EVIDENCE.

Knowing that you are CONSTANTLY CONSCIOUS, isn’t it a relief from that inner struggle to attain Illumined Awareness? Let’s further explore this idea.

Consciousness Is Impersonal

Consciousness is not a personal possession. Illumined Consciousness is a universal presence and a universal Fact of Being. It is God. You, reader, are Illumined Consciousness Identified. All that you are (including your Body) is Illumined Consciousness CONSTANTLY CONSCIOUS of being all that God is as you.

It’s Marvelous

Now that you have considered and embraced this Fact, your days and nights will never be the same. At once, you notice that your days and nights are filled to overflowing with indescribable joy. The effort to think True thoughts and to hold onto Truth is now replaced by experiences of Truth spontaneously surging as your awareness. Effortlessly, you are “praying without ceasing,” and serenely, you are “dwelling in the secret place of the Most High. It’s marvelous.
