Really Good Sex (One Body)

blog

This article is a reprint. Somehow it disappeared from our archive. I am reprinting it because some have asked about it, and it was the most popular blog post.

I don’t pretend to understand all of the implications of this experience, but one thing I do know: This is Real Sex.

It started like this. There was a pretty woman who caught my eye and heart. And there was a strong sexual attraction too. We hung out for weeks, perhaps months, but things never moved beyond just hanging out together. As you would expect, the more we were around each other (almost daily) I urgently wanted things to get physical. It never happened.

This woman attended the church I pastored, and we were spiritually compatible. This added to the attraction.

One night, close to midnight, we were walking around Lake Montebello, no hugging, no hand-holding, just walking as we usually did. As we walked…suddenly…and for a fraction of a millisecond (though it seemed like hours) our two bodies that seemed material and separate were pure Light and just one.

To describe the feeling, it was like a sizzling current shot through my body. I thought to myself, “This is what a real orgasm feels like.”After that experience, I no longer desired a sexual relationship with her. This was the ultimate. Nothing more was needed.

I realized that the joining together of two separate human bodies in the sex act is a crude attempt to get at the reality of the Infinite, Inseparable Body of Oneness. From that day to this day, I’ve desired to experience this One-Body more so than the sex act. Why? Because I know that the appearance of separate bodies is not the reality.

That night I knew that this woman would be a part of my life forever. Reader, this experience happened over 17 years ago, and today we are still the best of friends. In many of my lectures, I often say, “This was the best sex I ever had, and she knew nothing about it.”

What About Mental Causes?

Allen White God Is All

Could This The Reason Why It’s Happening To Me?

Tom J. is pinned to the mat and is about to tap out. For four years he’s been wrestling with a chronic illness, and it’s not looking good. Tom’s baffled. He’s followed all the suggestions in the books, sermons and lectures: silent prayer, forgiveness, positive thinking, etc. Nothing is working.

While rummaging through his mind, desperately searching for answers, Tom remembers reading that his condition might be related to feelings of chronic resentment and victimization. Then again, it might be those past vengeful thoughts. He’s not sure, so off he goes on a metaphysical witch-hunt searching for past thoughts that could be causing his present malady.

For hours, Tom hunted for possible offending thoughts and emotions. He went all the way back to the bullies in middle-school. The tally of all the possible suspects ran into the hundreds. Whether he was getting anywhere or not, Tom certainly wasn’t getting better. The not-so-subtle variation of this metaphysical witch-hunt is asking yourself, “What did I do to deserve this?” Put the brakes on. Turn around. Don’t go down this dark road.

Mental States For Material Maladies — Lies!

Once upon a time, an idea was promoted that diseases are caused by certain thoughts and emotional states. For example:

  • Arthritis is caused by feeling unloved.
  • Cancer is caused by long-standing resentment.
  • Constipation is caused by holding on to garbage of the past.
  • Kidney stones are caused by lumps of undissolved anger.

The list goes on and on, but this one thing is for sure, they are LIES. Don’t you believe it. God is All.

God Being All Means Disease is ___________?

All of the major metaphysical religions agree that God is the only presence and that disease is not real. Some go further to say that God doesn’t know anything about disease. Absolutists, like this blog, state more clearly that DISEASE IS NOT A PRESENCE. You already know this and are probably saying, “Duh, God being all there is, how could it be?”

Disease is nothing. Disease being a no-thing can’t be caused by anything. Nothing you’ve ever thought or said can make nothing become something.

It’s better to turn your prayerful attention to realizing what “God is All” means than to chase down the cause of phantom diseases. Reader, does it seem that you, like Tom, are pinned to the mat by some illness? Then, let me summarize the above paragraphs.

Nothing caused you to be sick now. Nothing you think, say, or do in the future will cause you to be sick. Disease is neither a presence nor a power. You do not live in a world of cause and effect. You live in and as the ISNESS OF GOD.

Why Am I Not Healed?

This is an excerpt by Alfred Aiken

The Big Question

Repeatedly the following is asked, “Why am I not healed? Why does the problem continue, even though I declare every Truth written in these books on Reality? I accept the statement that only Truth is true; accept it without reservation, but the difficulty lingers or seems to grow worse. What is wrong with what I am doing, or is it that Spirit does not deem it best for me to be well, happy and prosperous?”

These questions never stem from Truth. They never stem from Infinite Intelligence. Such arguments have nothing in common with Reality, Spirit, Love, Purity, Singleness, your I AM Identity.

The Answer

Any statement of Truth is sufficient to end any trouble, anywhere, regardless of how long it has appeared to be around, or how difficult it may seem to have become. Any statement concerning the ALLNESS OF ALL, THE SINGLENESS OF LOVE, THE PURITY OF BEING, THE OMNIPOTENCE OF WISDOM is true, because ALL precludes otherness, leaves nothing to heal, change, be corrected, cast out, or treated. But the one who merely declares these words meanwhile holding heartily to the problem, the condition, the error is wasting effort. His words are meaningless, his God is afar off, his Omnipotence is but a breath issuing from his lips, his Purity is only a degree of corruption, his Omniaction is a form of paralysis, his I-identity ignored in confusion.

Should you ever discover that you are trying to “become” well, whole, complete, honest, happy, harmonious, rest assured you are playing prodigal to your I AM Self … so stop it.

Throw Yourself A Life Party

Party-Time1

Don’t Think About Your Mortality — There’s No Truth To It

Immediately following the funeral of a loved one – even during the funeral – most people start thinking about their own mortality. Has that happened to you? Did the service trigger thoughts like “One day that’ll be my body in a coffin? After all, everybody’s got to die someday.” Maybe you didn’t think you would live forever, but right after a funeral you can see “the end” like you’re looking at it through a telescope. It seems so close.

Have you noticed at funerals – usually during the repast, people make promises to spend more time with family, do the things they’ve always wanted to do, and take a deeper plunge into life? Sometimes these death-driven promises are kept. Most times they merely serve to cushion a hard and rocky moment.

What Are You Going To Do After The Funeral?

Has a loved one died? What are you going to do? If you start thinking about your own mortality, you’ll drag yourself into a casket before your heart stops beating. Don’t do it!

Reader, is it clear to you that GOD IS LIFE? Is it clear to you this GOD LIFE is YOUR LIFE – now? That this Life is birthless, deathless, ageless and timeless? If so, don’t go anywhere near the mortality model of life (the one that starts with birth and ends with death). It’s a false concept about your Immortal Life. I’m taking the liberty right now to offer you a joy and power-filled way to respond to funerals and memorial services, and it all boils down to one thing – a celebration of your Eternal, Immortal Life.

The Party Of Your Life And How To Have It

When you believed in birth (the mortal model of Life), you celebrated with birthdays. Now that you’ve matured in your understanding of Life, why not celebrate with an occasional Eternal Life Party. What I mean here is to make an occasion out of the seeming death of a loved one, or the surprising death of an acquaintance. Here’s how:

  • The only “friends” that will attend your Eternal Life Party are your favorite Absolute or spiritual authors such as Marie Watts, Lillian DeWaters, Joel Goldsmith, Mary Baker Eddy, Vivian May Williams, Alfred Aiken, Paul Gorman, Doris Henty and Dorothy Rieke*.
  • All parties require a little planning and your Eternal Life Party is no exception. Look through your books for all the chapters and/or citations on Eternal Life. Earmark them for easy reference.
  • Before I go on, your Eternal Life Party can be anywhere from fifteen minutes to an hour. There’s no need to overdo it.
  • Start your “Party” by picking up one of your books and start reading the earmarked sections. Read until you come upon a phrase, sentence or paragraph that grabs your soul. Stop there!
  • These are the words you will take into the silence. You may want to read them a few times. In your silent prayer ask Consciousness to fully reveal the meaning of these words.
  • Listen! (for a minute or what is comfortable for you).

Once you are done listening, the party is over. Reader, this is a suggested way to respond to seeming death. It will get you out of the rut of mortality thinking and reward you with the true knowledge and joy of Eternal Life.

* One of the best books for an Eternal Life Party is Immortality Brought to Light by Dorothy Rieke.

Know The Truth About Your Body

Straight-To-The-Heart

There’s Only One Correct Answer

11 + 52 = ?

Reader, you know the answer to this equation, and you know there is only one correct answer. Children, still a little shaky in math, could write ten different answers, but there is only one correct answer to this equation.

Just like the above equation, there is only one correct answer regarding the nature of the Body, and yet you can flip through several spiritual books that mention the Body and find that they each say something different about the nature of the Body. Even among authors of the Absolute, you will find contradictory opinions about the Body.

Who’s Right? Who’s Wrong?

Some authors say the Body is an idea in Mind devoid of Life, Substance and Intelligence. Other authors say the Body is God embodied, implying that the Body is Life, Substance and Intelligence embodied. Some authors take a left turn down a very dark path and claim the Body does not exist at all. Each camp has its own “followers.” And still, THERE IS ONLY ONE CORRECT ANSWER CONCERNING THE NATURE OF THE BODY – YOUR BODY. You will not be satisfied until you find that answer, and when the true nature of your Body is revealed, you will be astonished by what you discover.

A Thrilling Adventure / An Astonishing Discovery

Are you ready and willing to make this astonishing discovery? Rather than turn to so called “outer” sources, take a thrilling adventure by turning to your Self. Trust me, your Self will not fail you. Years ago a man shared this story with me.

“Allen, for years I did not think that turning within for answers would work for me. Always I reached for a book and randomly flipped through the pages hoping to land on a line or two that I could convince myself to be a revelation. But, these contrived answers didn’t satisfy.

“One day, I made a decision. I said, ‘Thomas, from this day on, you are going to trust your Consciousness to reveal the answers to your questions.’ It wasn’t easy, but I stood firm. I went through a frustrating phase of going within and coming out with nothing. Just when I was about to give up, my Consciousness kicked in gear and answers started coming forth. Since, then I have trusted my Consciousness to reveal any needed Truth. The answers are not instantaneous, but they are satisfying.”

Know That You Know What You Know

I hope the story above gives you confidence to trust “your” Consciousness to reveal the true nature of your Body.

Reader, I have a few questions for you: Is the Body an idea in Mind, or is it Mind Itself? How do you know? Was the answer revealed, or was it merely read in a book? Consciousness knows and will reveal the answer so that you will know that you know what you already know (inherently). Trust it!

Where Do You Point When You Point To Your Self?

Infinite Self

A Song To Celebrate Your Boundless Identity

We used to sing this song in church.

I am free,
I am unlimited
There are no chains that bind me.
I am free, I am unlimited right now, right now.

The congregation couldn’t help but giggle as they sang the dorky melody. But after they sang that first verse, dorky didn’t matter. Voices soared with enthusiasm as if each singer suddenly broke free from a lifetime of bondage and limitation.

Reader, it is true. You are free, you are unlimited, and there is nothing to bind you – no thing. You are free and unlimited right now and forever.

Where Is Your Me?

And yet many of us seem to bind and chain ourselves to a Body form. When we think “me,” we point to our Body as if this is the sole representative of me. But, your “me” is not locked in the prison of a body form. Reader, your Body does exist; it exists within you. You are not in your Body. Your Body is in You.

Go back to a previous post You Are The Missing Piece. We’re going to make an exercise out of that post – just for a few days. What I want you to get out of this exercise is to forever think of your “me” as boundless Infinity, and not confined to a body form.

The Exercise Celebrating Your Infinity

As you prepare for this exercise, it’s best to sit down. To get the most out of it, I suggest that you keep your eyes open. Here are the suggested steps:

  • Take a quick glance at your Body and know “I Am not confined to this Body, I Am boundless Infinity.”
  • I Am not confined to this environment, I Am boundless Infinity
  • I Am not confined to this region, I Am boundless Infinity.
  • I Am not confined to this country, I Am boundless Infinity.
  • I Am not confined to this planet, I Am boundless Infinity.
  • I Am not confined to this galaxy, I Am boundless Infinity.
  • Conclude with a period of silence.

There is some wiggle room in this exercise for you to do it your way. Try it for a few days and see how your concept of “me” has expanded. You will see that this exercise is practical!

The Hospital Visit

hosp

Do You Dread The Hospital Visit?

“Allen, those uncomfortable pockets of silence are darn near torturous. I sit there watching them [the patients] struggle to put on a brave face while in obvious agony. All the while, Allen, my mind scrambles to find the right words to say. Finally, I just stand up and say ‘I’ve got to hurry now before rush-hour traffic.’” These are the words of a man describing why he hates the hospital visit.

Do you dread the hospital visit? Should you ever have to make a hospital visit, this brief post will make that visit a joy-filled experience. Reader, be conscious of this: You are the Light of the world. Make that visit in the power of your God-Being. In any hospital visit, there is only one thing to remember: YOU ARE NOT THERE TO SAY ANYTHING. YOU ARE THERE TO KNOW THAT GOD IS ALL.

Stand On The Rock Of Truth

Standing on and as this solid Rock of Truth is all that is required. From this high point, the right words will flow from your mouth as effortlessly as the river flows downstream. And maybe no words will come at all, but it does not matter.

Sitting in that hospital room, mindful of God’s Allness (and nothing else), don’t be surprised if later you get a call saying, “What did you say to Aunt Nancy? She appreciated your visit so much. She said you really inspired and lifted her spirits.”

While hearing these words, you may think to yourself, “What did I say?” But it wasn’t what you said. IT WAS WHAT YOU WERE KNOWING AND BEING that inspired, uplifted and revealed God’s Presence.

When you stand on and AS the solid Rock of Truth (God is All), every word that you say is inspiring and empowering – even a joke. Yes, even your laughter rings with Truth, and the pockets of silence echo God’s Allness.

Stop worrying about what to say and just be concerned about what you know.

Are These Your Questions Too?

handwritten letter

About seven weeks ago, Trevor, a reader of Absolutely Yours, sent me the perfect email – perfect because in one email he asks many questions that people have asked over the years. Because I wanted to thoroughly address the questions Trevor asked, without being too wordy, it has taken many weeks to respond to his communication. Below is Trevor’s email.

I do enjoy your blogs – Perhaps it is easy to write about Truth, but what you write about is it your experience or just pretty thoughts? Take your blog for instance “Escaping The Dream of Human Existence.”
Questions:

  • Do I have a mind that is aware of a material or human existence? You must believe in this mind otherwise you would not write blogs. You believe there is an audience that can be reached … you get my drift.
  • So many Truth writers there are, but, do they practice what they preach?
  • What is your purpose?

I know that we seem to be in a world of form but need not be of it where God sends His Teachers. Not that they are part of it but for a moment leave the Light and enter the darkness to show forth the Light.

Peace and Love,
Trevor

To make the answers to Trevor’s questions clear to you, I decided to approach them in sections that address most of Trevor’s questions.

Is what I write my experience, or just pretty thoughts?

In my early years as a minister, I made the decision not to preach anything that I have not experienced to some degree. When I write or teach about instantaneous healing, it’s because I have experienced it myself. When I write about taking no human action to find employment, it’s because that’s how I found employment. When I write about seeing the Body of Light, or hearing the Music of the Spheres, it’s because that’s what I saw and heard.

Most of the Truth writers I know are writing from their experiences. More importantly, most of the Truth writers I know have withheld writing about experiences that totally defy what the so-called intellect deems possible. Pretty thoughts and well-crafted words without genuine experience are pointless.

Reader, this is the most important thing. Through prayer, continue to explore the Allness of God. Do not be deterred! The experiences that reveal themselves will never frighten you. They will astound you.

You must believe in this mind otherwise you would not write blogs. You must believe an audience can be reached.

A Practitioner who takes calls from those who seem to be dealing with tumors, growths, and other bodily troubles does not respond to the caller because she believes that these troubles exist and can be healed. She doesn’t even acknowledge the reality of an identity or body that could possibly experience these troubles.

Similarly, I don’t write blogs because I believe in a human mind that can be helped, but because I know (despite convincing suggestions otherwise) that there is only One Mind.

Trevor, I write Truth because, as Truth is All, what else is there to write? I speak Truth because, as Truth is All, what else is there to speak?

I could write long discourses about the circus-like machinations of the American political scene, but it would be a lie. I could write about the health benefits of tea made from the carcasses of dung beetles, but that too would be a lie. Writing about anything other than Truth is wasted paper, ink and pixels.

As far as that audience to reach. I wish I believed there was one; then I would actively market this blog. Years ago I wrote a post (don’t know if it transferred to Absolutely Yours) for performers – how they can be more effective performers. It was based on my years and “struggles” performing as a classical pianist.

In a nutshell: Know that you and the so-called audience IS ONE – not two. That’s the mindset that I write these posts. It’s the only possible way.

I always open my lectures with these words. “Do not look up to the speaker. I, the speaker, and you, the listener, IS ONE MIND. You are both the speaker and the listener. Even when you read the words of Christ Jesus, know that they are the words of ‘your’ Mind.” This is true of the books and posts that I write.

Do the Truth writers practice what they preach?

In short, yes. But let me open the curtain so that you can peek in on the process.

It all starts when the writer experiences some form of Illumination. This is when he has a momentary experience of existence as it IS – as spiritual Form and Substance. Usually this is a Light-filled experience. The body, plants, buildings, etc., are literally seen as spiritual Form. Words cannot adequately describe this experience.

Although the experience only lasts for seconds before the writer seems to slip back into a seeming material world, he knows that he will never again be deceived by the appearance of a material world.

The Truth writer writes from this point of reality. He lives from this point of reality.

In these high times, so-called miracles are experienced. The chains of time and space are broken, and a person may find himself being there without having to travel there.

Sometimes these experiences appear as “heavenly helpers,” when human help is not available. But, Trevor, you do get my drift. Great stuff happens.

What is your purpose?

Trevor, I’m glad you asked about my purpose, because at one time I was confused. Early on, long before I wrote God Is All, I wrote for a spiritual journal expressly for the purpose of enlightening the readers. (A lot of minds going on here, and mine was ego driven.)

Once I realized God to be the only Mind – the Mind that is both reader and writer, everything changed. As stated, I write (hopefully no more books) because only Truth is worth writing.

There was no intention of writing God Is All (the first book). One night I was just about pulled out of bed and dragged to the computer. I started writing, but it was more like I was taking dictation. I didn’t think the words. I just wrote the words that came. The book was finished in three (3) weeks.

The file sat in my computer for several years. I had completely forgotten about it. One day a friend was “playing” on the computer and found the file. He said, “Allen, what’s this? It’s really good. Did you write this? You should publish it.”

I did and God Is All has been reaching readers all over the world for over twenty years.

My purpose is BEING.

I know we live in a world of form.

Form is real. The way we seem to see Form is not real. That’s the simple Truth. Two people could be sitting in the same room – one seeing Form as it really is.

The person really seeing would see the same books, tables, chairs and bric-a-brac as the other person. The only difference, these Forms would not have density or solidity. Think of a rainbow. It has shape, but there is no solidity or density. This is how Form actually appears (or the best way words can describe it).

The thing to get is that FORM IS REAL. There is nothing material about FORM.

Rethinking Immortality

immortality_quote_2

This excerpt is by Joel Goldsmith. A collection of his writings on the Body is carried by Denice Jutras (Mystics Of The World). It is an excellent publication.

Have You Thought About Immortality As A Present Reality?

We are all interested in the subject of immortality, but not merely an immortality that is attained after death. Immortality means here, in the body. We will not lose our body, but we will lose our false sense of body and come into the realization of the true nature of body. By losing the false sense of body, we will not lose our body, the body which we have now.

I am not speaking in the abstract, but I am saying that in this very body we must experience immortality. Just as in this body, by losing the sense of disease and coming into a higher realization of perfect body, there is no loss of body, just the loss of a false sense of body. In the same way, to experience immortality here and now occasions no loss of body, but only the loss of a false sense of body.

In our meditation, let us realize this: Immortality here and now; the immortality of this body and this universe, and all that we must lose is the false sense the world entertains of the body and of the universe.

You Are Not A Mere Reflection, Image or Idea

In our old teaching we were effect – an idea, reflection, expression, image, or likeness. In this approach you will find that you are consciousness, the very consciousness that is the cause of body, business, and home.

We formerly believed that a discordant body, business, or home was do to a power outside of ourselves, acting upon us. As long as we accept the belief that there is a power outside of us, just that long will we be seeking to get in touch with a good power. If the belief is accepted that a law of time is acting upon our bodies and mentalities, our experience will be on that level.

The Power Operating In Your Experience

There is no power operating in our experience separate from our own consciousness, but as long as we believe there is and are trying to get in touch with it, we will never contact it. The only treatment worth calling a treatment is the realization that, “I am life eternal. I am the way, the truth, and the life. I and my Father are One, and that Oneness constitutes immortality, harmony, grace, joy, and abundance of my body and Soul.

Lesson On Eternal Life From A Child

Out Of The Mouths Of Babes – A Request For Eternal Life

In a not-too-recent “Dear Amy” column, a five-year old asked her grandmother if she was going to get real old. The grandmother told the young girl, “We all get old … that’s why we have birthdays.” The little girl broke down crying saying to her grandmother, “I don’t want you to die. Please promise me you will have no more birthdays.”

This little girl wanted her granny to live forever. I believe we all have that wish for our loved ones (and ourselves). This little girl probably had no idea of the spiritual significance of her request. She probably didn’t realize that birthdays are handcuffed to deathdays.

Away With Birthdays And Deathdays

Get rid of birthdays and away go the deathdays. Get rid of birthdays and deathdays, and what are you left with? ETERNAL LIFE – real LIFE. You’re left with God. This is the secret to living forever – not as aging flesh, but as ageless Spirit.

Reader, you inherently know that God is Life, and you know that this Life is your Life right this very moment. Inherently, you know that this Life is birthless and deathless.

The Resurrection – A Lesson On Eternal Life

Easter, the celebration of Jesus’ resurrection, is on the horizon. Christ Jesus’ resurrection was possible for one reason only: His realization of the birthless, therefore deathless, nature of the Life that comprised His Body. Read His words, “Before Abraham was, I AM.”

Reader, answer these two questions:

  • Do you think that your Body is made of a different Substance than the Body of Christ Jesus?
  • Is there more than one Substance?

Here are the back-of-the-book answers to these questions:

  • Your Body is constituted of the exact same Substance as the Body of Christ.
  • There is only one Substance: “For of him, to him, and through him are all things …”

Because Christ knew the eternal nature of His Body, He did not resist the cross. Life has no beginning and no ending. When the full realization of the eternal nature of your Body is realized, you will know that its Life cannot be crossed out by any seeming threat.

The Practical Application

If it appears that your Body, or the Body of a loved one, is in the terrifying grips of some life-threatening disease, don’t believe it. If it appears as though your Body is sliding toward the grave or the urn, put the brakes on NOW.

First, accept that Life – all Life (even that of your Body) – is birthless, deathless, timeless and ageless. This is easier when you remind yourself that Life and God are one and the same.

Next, soak your Body in a warm contemplation of its Eternal nature. Bring every aspect of your Body into this contemplation: hair, teeth, bones, organs, etc. After all, those are just material names for spiritual forms.

Take this soak every day for a week or two. Believe me, there’s nothing like a good soak in Eternal Life.
