Don’t Shortchange Yourself

Why Do This To Yourself?
Why stop at saying that the Truth of things is perfect and that Heaven is Perfect in Itself, when it is your self, your body and your experience which you wish to see picture forth the “Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory?”
Open your vision to the fact that there is only one Being, and that this is your Being. For Being is not dual. Claim the completeness, the infinity, the perfection of your entire Being which includes your Body
Hold The High Watch
All creation is ideal, lovely, enchanting and satisfying. There are really no “others,” for in your universe you stand as one with all. In such realization of Yourself as The One there is no mistake to be corrected, no sickness to be healed, no person to be redeemed.
The seeming problem disappears: simply to withdraw from all belief of duality, multiplicity and sense of otherness, and to hold the High Watch, brings instead the vision of the completeness and infinity of all Good, all Health, all Abundance, all Joy now here and anywhere.
In proportion as one can rise to perform this act of the Truth can he fulfill the commission “Heal the sick and raise the dead.” And who are the sick? Who are the dead? Verily, who can they be and where can they exist if the Self be ALL? The commission is fulfilled in Revelation.
This Is What Happens When Your Body Is Healed
A reader asked this question:
“If my mortal appearing body appears to be sick, and through spiritual insight it is healed and appears as a well mortal body, isn’t the well mortal body just as unreal as the sick, mortal body? And doesn’t this make a well appearing mortal body as undesirable as a sick appearing mortal body?
Yes! and No! The mortal appearing body is nothing but the Immortal Body mis-perceived. (I really don’t like this word, but it helps in the explanation.) The sick, mortal body is the Whole, Immortal Body mis-perceived. This Immortal Body – your Body – consists of the Light that is the Presence of God.
Pay attention to this! When the body seems to be healed, what stays and what goes? Reader, it helps to answer this question aloud.
The disease appears to go, but the Body remains. The Body remains because the Body is real. It does exist. Your Body is Real! The disease, however, (perceived to be nothing) no longer seems to be.
What has happened here? When the mortal body appears to be healed, the Immortal Body (of pure Light and God Substance) shows forth a little more clearly. Had the awareness of the Immortal Body been totally complete, it would have shown forth as a Body of Pure Light – not merely a “healed” Body.
Never deny your Body. Never accept mortal lies about your Body.
What Do These Have In Common?
Scenario #1
The phone rang. When I answered, a trembling voice said in hushed tones, “Allen, I’m afraid. I’m about to lose my home, and I don’t know what to do.”
Scenario #2
One evening I spoke with a man who punched and whipped himself with a flurry of self-condemning and self-hating words. I thought to myself, I sure hope he’s sitting down, because no one could stand after a beating like this.
He whined and moaned about how long it was taking him to make spiritual progress – if he made any at all.
Scenario #3
A woman sat across from me at the café table. Usually all bubbly and sizzling with positivity, she sat there flat as a glass of day-old champagne. She was facing a health challenge that seemed hopeless.
From our conversation, it sounded like she had resigned herself to a life of unimaginable suffering and certain death.
The Only Mind Knows Only God
Read these scenarios once again. Can you guess the one thing they have in common? And while you are in the question answering mode, below are three more questions:
- With what mind was the first woman feeling fearful?
- What mind (in the second case) was self-condemning and struggling for enlightenment?
- What mind was hopeless?
You are right if you answered none at all. GOD KNOWING ITSELF TO BE ALL is the only Mind that knows anything. It is the only Mind that exists. This Mind (which is your Mind right now) knows the constancy of abundant Supply. This Mind knows that birthless, deathless, ageless, timeless, perfect Substance is the only Substance. This Mind is the constancy of illumined Perception.
What Is Happening vs. What Seems To Be Happening
Let’s go back to that one common thing in each scenario. I’m sure you guessed it already, but here it is: While each seemed to be happening, they weren’t happening at all. God is all that is going on – always.

A Special Reader Writes (Insight From Our Editor On Food and Diet)
Occasionally, Absolutely Yours will feature an “Our Readers Write” post. A reader will share a story of healing or some noteworthy insight. I don’t play favorites, but this post comes from a special reader, Brenda Becker. Brenda is the copy-editor for Absolutely Yours. I can’t blog without her. Her suggestion reveals tremendous insight about food, diet, health, and Substance.
Allen:
The topic of the new year is often about diet/nutrition – that kind of responsibility. And the pressure on people in this country is to try for balance or focus on portions of protein, fats, carbs, etc., usually for health/added health or beauty/added beauty.
So many of us intend to “be good”, “be good at”, or “be fully intelligent” regarding our meals 3 times a day. Thus, it is a hot-topic for many during these first 30 days of January.
I was contemplating that the body and the vitamin pill contain exactly the same substance. So, I was asking myself, why do we need to replenish the former with the latter? Is there a lack or diminishment over a certain number of days that needs to be replenished or shifted from one to the other within the One? Does the All need replenishment? And if so, how would adding the One to the One get the job done?
There is so much pressure to fuel or re-fuel the body, and laced with that is the social responsibility to “replenish” or “work-on” our friendships at the same time by accepting invitations over brunch or at the coffee shop, planning holiday meals to delight, or the social opposite of “comfort” food in isolation.
We are always concerned with this replenishing factor as if the water off the coast of San Francisco need supply, somehow, the water off the coast of Seattle. Yet, the one substance doesn’t deplete or diminish, nor does it burn up or fade its vitality.
Might you do a blog on this “replenishment” factor? It might be interesting to read your take on how unnecessary it truly is, or, maybe, how necessary it truly is? ??????????
Just an idea for discussion at this time of the year.

Here’s Where Your Power Is
Never think of yourself as a person defending the right, but as divine Mind’s full manifestation of all that is right. This Christ-rightness is of itself the power which appears to us as an impregnable force.
No Mortality In Christ
To live the Christ way is to acknowledge your true identification as the Christ-consciousness itself. This consciousness includes no mortal sense of yourself, no mortal sense of anything , or of any one, and is thus the “strongest deliverer” from all the discord originating in the mortal, mistaken approach to existence.
Now – Not Later
The Christ way is to see all from the standpoint of God – never from the human standpoint … The Christ way is the way of divine immediacy, free from the mortal way of process, of hoping and waiting. It is the glorious now, with no thought or fear of a rainy day ahead.
The Proof Of God’s Allness In Your Life
Oops! That’s What I’ve Been Doing
Hoping and waiting for the evidence of God’s Allness are the culprits that seem to hide the experience of Truth’s evidence. Hoping, wishing, and waiting for the evidence of Truth to appear is a flat-out denial that God Is All. How subtle this is!
Many sincere “students” of Truth are unknowingly investing their attention in the denial of the established fact that God Is All. Every time the truth of God’s Allness is contemplated with the hope and wish for its evidence, the Fact is at once denied.
It is a self-defeating practice to contemplate the fact of God’s Allness, and at the same time hope for health, a windfall, or a change of some appearance for the better. Simply put, most people lack the experience of the evidence of Truth because they, in their hopes and wishes for such evidence, are actually denying its presence as an already established fact.
I’ll Try This Instead
… Beloved, no change is needed in your life at all. Your Life is the evidence of God – pure, holy and perfect in every way. Simply stay with the Fact that God is the only Evidence evidenced. Nothing needs to be added to or removed from your Life.

The Solution To Every Problem
Transforming Power Of A Oneness Contemplation
If dualism is the root of all problems, then ONENESS is the solution to all problems. It does not matter what the nature of the problem appears to be, ONENESS IS THE ANSWER. Dear reader, you can experience a great “transformation” of your life by completely realizing, “I and my Father are one.” By contemplating this Truth, and letting revelation after revelation come forth, every area of your life will be showered with miracles. Of course nothing really changes, and nothing is transformed, but the Finished Kingdom of Heaven, present here and now, is revealed and experienced.
Similarly, scaling the heights and plumbing the depths of the realization that THERE IS ONLY ONE PRESENCE AND ONE POWER IN AND AS ALL THE UNIVERSE can seem to transform your life, as if a fairy-godmother waved her magic wand over your world.
Never Battle Externals – Realize Truth
Beloved, never battle with so called externals. Never fight against anything or anyone that seems to be outside of you. Deal only with your Consciousness. Deal only with your Perception and Awareness. Settle the matter in your own God Consciousness, and you will completely resolve any seeming difficulty. I know you have read this many times, but do you understand its full implication? If you do, you would understand that you would never battle a headache with a pill. You would never battle a loved one with caustic words or threats of violence. Instead, you would stand still and clearly realize that God is the one and only Presence, Power, Identity, and Manifestation. Furthermore, you would know that YOU, YOURSELF, ARE THIS PRESENCE AND POWER. Having perceived this with utmost clarity, there are no issues to resolve.

What To Do About That Diagnosis
“Allen, the other day I went to the doctor’s office to get my test results. It wasn’t good. Should I just ignore the doctor’s diagnosis and focus on God’s Allness?” This question raises its head too many times to ignore; so let’s dive into the answer.
First Handle The Fear
The first order of business is to face the fear and snuff it out. Here is what worked for me. Faced with what looked like a severe health crisis, I slumped on the bed trembling (never a good sign). Fear gripped so tightly that worst case scenarios flashed across my mind. I had to do something … and quick. My next thought was, “Allen, is God All?” I answered “Yes.”
Starting from God’s Allness, I prayed asking this one question, “What mind is experiencing this fear?” The answer was not immediate. Again, I asked and listened. That night the answer revealed itself: “There is no mind aware of anything to fear.” Immediately the fear left. The situation did not change, but it was no longer in charge.
In my lectures, I often say that so-called disease is like a stray cat. Instead of milk, it feeds on fear. If there’s no fear around, it slinks away. With the fear gone, the (seeming) problem goes.
Discovering The Diagnosis Isn’t Real
Now that you have handled the fear, it’s time to handle the diagnosis. This has to be by way of Revelation. Reader, I know you’ve heard stories of people facing life-threatening diseases who picked up a book and were healed after reading a few paragraphs. I heard a story of someone who laid my book God Is All on an ailing body part and was healed. These stories don’t impress me. Revelation is the best way, and below are suggestions to prime the pump of Revelation.
In silent prayer ask:
(1) Is this diagnosis of __________ true or not?
(2) Right here where _________ seems to be, what is here?
That’s my way, but Marie Watts suggests another line of questioning that restored her sight and “cured” her cancer.
(1) God, do you know anything about _____________?
(2) Then, do I know anything about ______________?
(3) Does any mind know anything about ___________?
Do not reason out your answers. There is no power in a reasoned answer. Wait, and let the Voice of Revelation speak. This is the Voice of your God Consciousness. When It speaks, “the earth melts”. Simply put, all seeming material conditions are revealed and EXPERIENCED as nothing – no thing at all.
