Where Is My Healing?

man holding a compass

Rev. Allen many times you’ve said that revelation equals manifestation. One time you even called it the “Fulfillment Formula.” For years, I’ve been dealing with a particular chronic disease. I followed your advice. I prayed, but my prayer was not for a healing. My prayer was simply, “God reveal Thyself.” Isn’t this what you said? Well, sure enough , I experienced that special peace that you talk about…but I wasn’t healed. Today, months later, I’m still dealing with the same issue. Maybe there’s a flaw in the “Formula.” Where do I go from here?

It’s time to address this issue as I have run out of fingers, toes, and limbs counting the times I’ve heard someone suggest that the “Formula” doesn’t work, and that revelation doesn’t always equal manifestation. But this is a science and it always works.

When you make a mistake in the science of math, don’t you go back to check every calculation? Similarly, when things don’t seem to come out right in Spiritual Science, you have to go back and check your “work.” Below are a few “Formula” essentials.

The Revelation

When people tell me that they were not healed, my first question is, “Specifically what revelation were you expecting to see evidenced?” [long pause] “Um…Well, I didn’t really experience a revelation.” That’s the typical response. You see the formula does work: No revelation = no manifestation.

In my many experiences of being healed through prayer alone, I always “heard” a Truth that I could articulate. Because Truth cannot be fully expressed in words, sometimes I sputtered and stuttered trying to explain my revelation. The important thing is that something was revealed.

Relying solely on a feeling of deep peace and a sense that all is well does not always show forth as a so-called healing. True, in some instances it does happen but when it doesn’t, more revelation is required. That’s when I ask Consciousness, “What else is it that I need to perceive here?”

The Big Shift

When Myrtle Fillmore (co-founder of the Unity movement) realized “I am a child of God, I can’t be sick,” her reality shifted from a woman wasting away from tuberculosis to a woman forever whole and perfect. No, the healing was not immediate, but the shift in awareness and reality was.

Once Truth is revealed, there is a shift. The reality is no longer what it seemed to be. The revealed Truth is Reality. When this reality-shift occurs, there are no more concerns and no more questions about the appearance.

If you are still asking, “Where is my healing?” the appearance is still your seeming reality. If this is the case, it’s back to the “Chamber of Silence” asking, “What more do I need to perceive here?”

Stick-to-itiveness

This is easy. If you’ve had the reality-shift, you will stick to revealed Truth like superglue! Truth-be-told, you aren’t so much sticking to Truth as if Truth is something separate from you. You realize that you are the Truth that has been revealed.

In all that’s been written, reader, do know that you can never be healed. Truth does not heal. Truth reveals that you have never been sick. What appears as a healing is the conscious experience of Truth evidenced.

Truth Is Not A Cold Cream (excerpt by Alfred Aiken)

cold cream jar allen white

Every application of Truth is a denial of Truth. To “apply” Truth means to have a condition, state, circumstance or thing to apply It to. That means that you are starting out with a problem. The moment you attempt to apply Truth in order to correct, heal, change, alleviate or in some way subjugate a problem, you have forsaken Truth, denied It–you have rejected Spirit; you have started with a problem that is not true. To begin by denying Reality at the outset is to be prodigal, and whatever, purportedly, is done as a prodigal is a denial, a complete ignoring and evasion of Truth.

One cannot “apply” Reality. One does not get Truth out of a jar. It does not come as a cold cream. It does not come, as some seem to think, canned and with directions as to how much to spray on your troubles. It is not something that you can brush on, or a liquid that you can bathe in.

Truth is who and what you are. It is Reality Itself; It is Omnipresence Itself; It is Truth, Itself, being…There is no other life, there is no other Existence, there is no other Being.

Body Month (The How-Tos)

body o light allen white
The “Body Month” is a month you choose,  where your prayerful focus is on discovering, understanding, and contemplating the truth of your Body.

The Questions

During this “month,” you retreat to your God Consciousness and ask such questions as:

  • What is the Body?
  • Why do I have a Body?
  • Is the Body real, or is it an illusion?*
  • Was this Body born?
  • What is it about this Body that is most important for me to realize?

Above  are just suggested questions. Whether you use these questions or not, I strongly suggest that you consider the last question being one of the questions that you ask.

Listening For The Answer

Anyone can reason out the answer to these questions, but there is no power in a reasoned-out answer. You want a God-Revealed answer. After you’ve asked your question, the important thing is listening for the answer.

Contemplation

Self-Questioning and Listening are just two aspects of the “Body Month.” Contemplation is the other equally important aspect. Contemplation is calmly pondering the Body from a God Is All point-of-view. But more than that, contemplation is a calm, effortless consideration of the Body knowing that the God Is All point-of-view is the only Reality of the Body–your Body.

Now It’s Up To You

Fellow Absolutists, choose today which month will be your “Body Month.” Make your list of body-related questions. Once you actually begin your month, this is your short list of Daily Dos:

  1. Choose one or two questions. Take one question at a time and listen expectantly for the answer. Often, the answers are not instantaneous. Be patient. When you start getting antsy, get up and come back later. Above all, don’t reason out your answers.
  2. Contemplate your Body from a God Is All point-of-view.

The Body Month (a God Is All repost)

body of light allen white

If you have attended my lectures, you have heard about the Body Month. And you know that I encourage everyone to have at least one Body Month each year.

Because of (what appears to be) disease, swelling, sickness, aches, aging, deterioration, and downright fleshiness, the Body seems to be a spiritual logjam for most folk. The purpose of Body Month is to rightly perceive the Body through Conscious Revelation. For many, the results of Body Month will appear to be bodily healing, pain release, increase of vitality, and even a de-aging of the Body. But, reader, this is not the purpose of Body Month. The ultimate conclusion of Body Month is to consciously experience and actually see the Body as the Living Light that it is.

Here is a letter that I received from an annual Body Month practitioner:

Dear Allen,

What has been most helpful with the “body month” exercises is that I know I am not confined to nor restricted by the body, nor intimidated by it. Instead I am rejoicing in what Body really is. As there is no Identity but that of the Infinite, is it not correct to say that body is God, Perfection, visible? Or, God, Perfection, identified visibly? This is what feels good and right to me and has given me a sense of freedom from being concerned about body. And, I have need to be clear about this: where is “another” mind to suggest that something is wrong about body? No where!

Last summer I fell hard over rough, rocky terrain injuring the left leg, ankle and foot…the foot and ankle swelling and turning black. I vigorously resisted the temptation for x-rays, etc. I just know that I would not go that route, recalling that in one of your presentations you mentioned that an x-ray cannot show the perfection of Being (this is not an exact quote). I kept my focus on that which is absolutely true while hopping around using a mop handle for balance. It was not long before the foot and ankle were normal and I was wearing shoes and boots again.

For many years there was a quarter-size lump on one hip. I can honestly say it never troubled me and although it was there it gave me no concern…never looked at it, never thought about it. However, a few months ago, I realized it was gone; just when, I have no idea…just gone. At the same time, I saw that a small growth near the nose had disappeared.

This June, repeatedly came the phrase “…all the fullness of the Godhead bodily”–the fullness, the Allness of God, Perfection, bodily! This really resonated most of the month. If I am really convinced that God is All, that Allness embraces all of me: morally, spiritually, physically, giving me a sense of the sweetness and gentleness of the Absolute.

Sincerely

Hearing The Kingdom Of Heaven

The Senses Function As One

Just as you can see the Kingdom of Heaven, you can hear the Kingdom of Heaven. The function of the “so-called” senses is really God’s activity of perceiving Itself – perceiving the Kingdom of I Am. Let’s move on to hearing the Kingdom.

The Fiction of Beautiful Friction

Most sound, as we know it, is produced by two objects moving against one another – friction. Read that again. Did an alarm go off? That word “two” should’ve sounded an inner alarm.

There is only One Presence. Sound, as we know it, requires more than one. Even the stirring sounds of a Beethoven violin sonata require the friction of bow against string. Nevertheless, if it’s two it can’t be true. Yet, there is true sound. There is the sound of oneness.

Music Of The Spheres

Anyone who has ever heard the “Music of the Spheres” will try desperately to describe its sound. Words fail. The unique quality of this sound is that it is without friction – something the ear is not accustomed to hearing.

One evening as I was taking my nightly walk, I heard what sounded like a string quartet. Its sensual sound was slow moving and darn near erotic. I stopped and leaned against a tree to discern where the music was coming from. The sound seemed to come from everywhere, yet nowhere in particular. As I listened carefully, I noticed that although the sound resembled the stringed instruments, there was no friction of bow against string. The sound continued for hours. This was the “Music of the Spheres.” This was true sound – the sound of oneness.

Aural Illusions

Just as the eye seems to see the moon resting on the mountain, so can the ear be fooled into hearing what isn’t real. Have you ever heard a “Shepard’s scale”? Google it. It is merely eight notes repeated, and yet it sounds like a scale that ascends higher and higher without end. This is an aural illusion.

Aural Illusions In Daily Living

Now that we know the ear can seem to be fooled, let’s see how these aural illusions play out in our daily living. Look at this list:

  • arguments
  • gossip
  • sirens
  • crashes
  • most news reports
  • cries for help

These are not real sounds. They are based on twoness. You may be asking, “Well, what do I do about them? Are you saying I should ignore my mother’s cry for help?” Of course not! First stabilize yourself and realize that this is not the sound of God being the only Presence and Power. This is not true sound. Then, render whatever help seems to be necessary. Reader, know that right there where there seems to be the sound of two, there is actually the sound of One (Love).

Hearing The Kingdom Of Heaven Right Now

God is all there is – one Presence and one Power. Just one. From this position, you know that God is all there is to hear.

Reader, you know, or perhaps sense, that God is Love. Take this a step further and confidently claim that Love is all you hear. What else is there to hear?

Claim right now (why wait) that you are always hearing the sound of Love, and that you are hearing only the sound of Love. Remind yourself throughout the day:

“I am hearing the sound of Love, for Love is all there is to hear.”

Staying with this Truth, I’ve seen negative conversations come to a screeching halt and instantly shift to something more pleasing to the ear. One offensively noisy environment suddenly shifted to hushed tones and remained that way for years!

Hearing In Your Daily Experience

You will be surprised at the power of these gentle reminders throughout the day. Be warned: these reminders are not merely mental affirmations used to change your environment. No! You are stating these words because, regardless of what seems to be, they are already true.

The Telephone Exercise

Before picking up the telephone to make or receive a call, remind yourself, “I am hearing Love and only Love for Love is all there is to hear.” This is a powerful conversation tamer. It tames the tongue of both speaker and hearer. It reveals God’s presence.

On The Job

Eight hours of your day is spent at the job site. That consists of one half your waking hours. Make it a pleasant eight. Throughout the day at meetings, the water cooler, the cubicle visit, etc. remind yourself of what you are really hearing.

Reader, I leave it to you to discover other areas where this gentle reminder might be helpful.

In Summary: The Music Of The Spheres

Ultimately, the Music Of the Spheres is the only genuine sound. Many have asked, “What must I do to hear this music?” The answer is simple: Acknowledge only One and One alone – God. Take it a step further and acknowledge that you are always hearing only God. Suddenly, when you least expect it, you will hear the most incredible sound you have ever heard. The sound of One.

Know What You Need To Know, When You Need To Know It

Questions Sign Allen White God Is All

Below is an excerpt from Joel Goldsmith’s Infinite Way. This same idea has been written by Marie Watts and Lillian DeWaters.

Have A Problem? Here’s What To Do

Whenever we are faced with a problem, regardless of its nature, seek the solution within your own consciousness. Instead of running around here and there, instead of seeking an answer from this or that person, instead of looking for the solution outside of yourself, turn within.

Your Perfect Answer Is Assured

In the quiet and calm of your own mind, let the answer to your problem unfold itself. If, the first or second or third time you turn in peace to the kingdom within, you fail to perceive the completed picture, try again. You will not be too late, nor will the solution appear too late. As you learn to depend on this means for the working out of your problems and experiences, you will become more and more adept in quickly discerning your mind’s revelation of harmony.

Insights From The Seeing The Kingdom Of Heaven Challenge

Barbara, one of our “Challengers,” sent me an email sharing her new insight.
With her permission, I am publishing it as written.

Dear Allen,

In a conversation with my daughter who lives in DC last night (who was concerned about all of the work it appears she has to do and to whom I responded with “He perfometh that which is given me to do; He perfecteth that which concerneth me”) something came back to me that an Infinite Way teacher once shared:  Perfect means Complete.

Then, writing in my journal this morning, it came that seeing Perfection is seeing Completeness — nothing lacking or limited, nothing to be changed — and that is the Truth of Being.  Yes!  GOD IS ALL.

Joyfully continuing in this Challenge with you and grateful for your work and spiritual help . . .

 In loving Oneness,

Barbara

How Wonderful You Are (a spontaneous contemplation)

how wonderful you are swan pictue
Early this afternoon, I sat down to contemplate. Before I fully closed my eyes, the words just came forth. Yes, I know the language sounds a bit archaic, but something seems just plain wrong about editing a Revelation. Reader the Truth below is the Truth of your Being.

I Am Wealth, and I need do nothing in order to Be the Wealth that I Am.

I Am Health, and I need do nothing in order to Be the Health that I Am.

I Am Joy, and I need do nothing in order to Be the Joy that I Am.

I Am Illumination, and I need do nothing in order to Be The Illumination that I Am.I do not have to pray in order to Be the Wealth that I Am.

I do not have to sit in the silence in order to Be what I Am.

I pray and meditate just to bask in the radiant glory that I Am.

Spiritual Help After The Medical Exam

ocean of consciousness allen white Absolutely Yours

No Guilt Allowed

You’ve read the “medical exam” post, and that ol’ devil guilt showed up. Perhaps you said to yourself, “Maybe I’m not as spiritual as I thought. After all, I turned to the doctor (medical viewpoint) instead of relying solely on Truth (spiritual viewpoint).” Or did you think some other insane idea like, “I wish I could have faith like Joan Jenkins and rely only on God for my health concerns.” Enough is enough. What good can come out of this train of thought? Does it lead to the awareness of God’s allness? No, so just STOP.

Health Is Who You Are

Reader, if you have already allowed your body to be probed, monitored, and x-rayed, take comfort in the fact that you did what you felt was the best thing to do at that time. Realize that your visit to the doctor’s office was prompted by a desire to experience an aspect of your spiritual identity: HEALTH.

You are guilty of nothing. Your Identity as God-Identified is still intact. Nothing has changed. If you are harboring feelings of guilt, forgive yourself. To forgive yourself is simply recognizing your Self as the pure and perfect One – regardless.

Moving Onward After The Exam

So you’ve had the exam, and the results left you in a funk. All day long, you’ve been beating up on yourself thinking about what you could’ve and should’ve done. Get off of that merry-go-nowhere and let’s move forward. In many blogs, sermons and classes, I’ve made this recommendation: Get a second opinion from the Maker. It’s the most powerful next step you can take.

Your prayer might look something like this: “It appears that I have been diagnosed with _________. My body feels (or looks) ______________. My only desire is to know what is true here. What is the absolute truth concerning this body?”

This, of course, is followed by silent listening for the answer. Daily, you keep asking and listening until Truth is revealed. You will have to be both persistent and consistent.
