If You Start Right You End Right

God Is All

THE COSMIC STOREHOUSE OF INFINITE ENLIGHTENMENT

Do you remember that time when you were blind-sided by a beast of a problem, how you went into the silence anxiously reaching up and out for some healing Truth? This was supposed to be a time of peaceful receptivity to experience the knowingness of your Mind, but instead it was a strained struggle to get some Truth from an outer cosmic storehouse of Infinite Enlightenment.

START WRONG AND YOU END WRONG

It should be no surprise that the Truth you were hoping for was never realized. How could it be? The premise was flawed from the very start.

This inner reaching out to “get” Truth presupposes two minds – one that knows Truth and one that anxiously yearns to know Truth. This desperate reaching out assumes your mind is the mind that doesn’t know Truth right now, but, with enough reaching and anxious waiting, will possibly know Truth at some later time.

START RIGHT END RIGHT

There is only ONE MIND. YOU ARE THIS MIND RIGHT NOW. You don’t have this Mind. YOU ARE IT. You are already completely and fully illumined right this very moment. You are the Presence and Power of Illumined Consciousness.

WHY PRAY AT ALL?

So, what’s all this silent prayer about, and why bother? Have you ever relaxed on the beach of a tropical island and basked in the golden rays of sunlight? The sun was no more present on that beach than it was while you were shopping in the open-air market. Yet, you chose to take an hour or so to relax, bask and enjoy the sunlight.

Your ILLUMINED CONSCIOUSNESS is just as illumined while you are going about your daily business of working, parenting, spousing, and playing as it is when you are sitting still in silent prayer. Silent prayer is just a choice to enjoy the experience of your Infinite Awareness being Infinitely Aware.

PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER

  • Instead of reaching out for Truth, relax into the Truth you seem to need to know.
  • Accept and acknowledge that you ARE living, loving Truth in action.
  • Know that you are just as enlightened when you are busy as when you are silently praying.

There’s Nothing Wrong With You

Why Does God Need So Much Help To Be God?

A lion is a lion. She doesn’t need to sit in silence for hours – even minutes – in order to roar. She doesn’t need to meditate and contemplate in order to claw her prey. A lion needs no assistance whatsoever in order to be a lion. And what of the lily and the lampstand? Neither do they have to do a single thing to be what they are.

Why does the game seem to change when it comes to God? God seems to need a lot of help to be God. God is supposedly the only presence, but this God seems to need a lot of prayer, meditation and contemplation in order to show up. Like a crooked picture hanging in the hallway, something is off kilter here. I’m merely blogging the same ideas that you’ve thought at least a dozen times. You probably said it like this: “If God is all, why do I have to pray?”

Stop Helping God

God (or whatever term you use) is the only Presence. Better still, God is Presence itself. And God does not need special help in order to BE Presence. God doesn’t need one single soul to sit in silent prayer for a single second in order to “show up.” God is the show.

God doesn’t need special contemplations, group meditations, chants or mantras in order to be Presence. God, by virtue of being All, is all that is present.

“But,” you say, “I ache so bad, and my life is in shambles. I’ve lost my reason and will to live. It seems that if I don’t pray, I don’t stand a chance of turning my life around.”

You Know The Truth

Reader. Only an identity imagining (and this has to be an imagination gone berserk) his life, mind, body and world to be something other than the One and Only could possibly think he needs to do anything for God to show up. You, reader, are not such an identity. You know what is true, and you know that you are the Truth that you know. How do I know this? Because God Is All.

Is Group Prayer Really Effective? (Surprising Answer)

group prayer allen white God is All

QUESTION: “Is group prayer more effective than praying solo? If I round up 20 people to pray for world peace, would that be more effective than 5 people praying — or just one person? In other words, where prayer is concerned, is there “strength in numbers”?

There is a tendency to think that group prayer is like building an army: if you have an army of 100 soldiers fighting on the battlefield, it has to be better than a scrimpy army of 10 gun-toting soldiers.

Also, there is the idea that the greater the number, the greater the effectiveness. A man, chased by a ginormous grizzly, reasons that firing 1000 bullets certainly must be more effective than firing just one bullet.

No Opponents, Just Revelation

When you seem to be dealing with an opponent, perhaps there is strength and effectiveness in numbers. Yet, IN PRAYER YOU ARE NOT CONTENDING WITH AN ADVERSARY. Prayer, right-focused prayer, is about the business of awareness, discernment, realization, and revelation. Simply put, prayer is about discerning God’s presence — and what God is — as the sum-total of existence.

While others cowered in fear and uncertainty, Christ Jesus often stood alone in His awareness of God’s Allness. And standing alone proved to be enough! Just one identity clearly perceiving the Isness of the Allness of God is always enough. However, there is a special value in group prayer.

What Makes Group Prayer Effective

Imagine that you seem to have a problem on the job — perhaps a personality clash. Each day the situation sours like lemon curdled milk. Being the much-loved person that you are, you easily gather 25 people to pray for you. Day and night, they pour their hearts into perceiving God’s presence as being all that is present as the totality of your work environment. Out of these 25 sincerely praying friends, one (and that’s all it takes) is bound to achieve the clarity that God is indeed the only Activity, Identity, and Evidence. Miracle of miracles, the next day you go to work it seems like your fairy godmother waved her magic wand over the office. All is love, light and laughter.

Don’t be deceived! The obvious assumption is that the dedicated prayers of the prayer group worked a miracle in your situation, but that wasn’t the case at all. It was the razor-sharp perception of that one person that revealed God’s Allness.

By the above example, you can see that the value of a large number of people praying is that at least one will experience a clear realization of God’s Allness. But you don’t need a group. You can be that one.

So Many Things To Pray About – Where Do I Start?

God Is All

The Things

Fix a thing. Repair a thing. Heal a thing. Add a thing. Get rid of a thing. With prayer, it always seems to be about a thing. But here’s the thing: As long as prayer is about things, you will always have a thing to pray about. And as long as you are praying about things, the conscious enjoyment of God’s Allness will never happen.

Did Your Early Days Of Prayer Look Like This?

Your personal history of prayer certainly doesn’t help. Like mine, it probably started with thing-based prayer. Grammy prayed to heal your broken leg. While you prayed for a new toy, dad prayed for a better job, and momma prayed for new furniture. In the church, the preacher prayed for healing of the sick and shut-in, and the “Women’s Guild” prayed to get the drug-dealing hoodlums out of the neighborhood.

The Most Effective Way To Pray

Reader, let’s get back on track! God is the only presence. God is the only power. And God is not a thing. In God’s Allness, where are the things? Nowhere! Okay, I can hear you thinking, “But Allen, there are forms, right?” Yes, there are. But these forms we have mistakenly called things are God and their nature is God.

Jesus teaching his disciples about prayer said, “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God . . . and all these things will be added unto you.” Pray to know God. Pray to experience God. Pray to know your Identity is in God as God. This is “right” prayer. There are no things in this prayer, and yet this thing-less prayer piles the needed things (forms) right in your lap. Why is this?

Because the forms that you and I have called things, by various names, are God. Nothing is added, but these seemingly invisible forms are effortlessly revealed in all their spiritual glory.

Reader, are you worried trying to figure out how to pray about the many things that seem to be troubling you? Leave things completely out of your prayers and seek a clearer realization of the nature of God. In discovering God’s nature (via Revelation) you discover your nature, and in discovering your nature, you discover the nature of all those forms you thought were separated from you by time and space.

You can read more on the practicality of this kind of praying in Chapter 3 of God Is All.

Did You Contemplate Your Perfection Today?

For the month of July I am taking a break. Instead of writing new articles, I am posting some more of my favorite passages from other Absolute authors. This week’s post is from Doris Henty’s Addresses and Other Writings..

The command “Be ye therefore perfect” is already fulfilled effortlessly. Perfection is inevitable. Restriction, friction, erroneous suggestion, earth-bound sense, mortal belief — the belief that there is a belief —are unknown to the kingdom of holiness within.

Discord never entered your Mind. Your peaceful well-being remains forever undisturbed. No suggestion of evil was ever heard, seen or felt in this consciousness of holiness which you are. Yours is the “boundless thought that walks enraptured,” free from impediment, obstruction or limitation, enjoying the natural perfection of its own being.

Let prayer be the joyous recognition and acknowledgment of that which already exists, the glories of Life: the joyous, restful experience of health and harmony already and permanently established as one’s own being. The Sabbath means that the whole of infinity is “the secret place of the most High.” Think of the peace and security of such being, your being, unassailed because there is nothing but Itself.

The Evidence Of Truth Is Right Where It Should Be

The Neglected Omni

Of all the omnis, you’ve probably read, said, and heard these two the most: omnipresence and omnipotence. One woman looked at me with pleading eyes and said, “Allen, you’ve got to come up with a new way of getting these ideas across. I can’t listen to one more omni-anything.” It’s a fact that when spiritual writers start writing about God, we bang away at these two omnis. So let’s move on to the most ignored, and perhaps the most important of all the omnis: OMNIEVIDENCE.

This word excites me! Say it to yourself a few times. By the end of this article, just a mental glance at the word Omnievidence will be more satisfying than a slice of mile-high apple pie topped with honey-bourbon caramel swirls.

Omnievidence Breakdown

Years ago, I noticed something interesting in a book by Emma Curtis Hopkins. (You have no idea how many letters I have in a box from people trying to convince me that I am the reincarnation of E.C. Hopkins.) In this book, Ms. Hopkins etymologically deconstructs the word omnipresence. To illustrate the breakdown, I am going to use the word Omnievidence.
Om = all
Ni (nil) = nothing
Evidence = evidence

Look at “Ni.” It sits securely and comfortably—almost smugly—between Om and Evidence. Did you figure out the breakdown? Here it is: THERE IS NOTHING (NO THING) BETWEEN THE ALLNESS AND THE EVIDENCE OF GOD’S PRESENCE.

God’s Evidence Is The Only Evidence

Reader. Haven’t you heard someone say, “Yes, I know all of that, but I just don’t see the evidence of it?” Don’t believe it! There is no person, place, condition or thing between God’s allness and God’s evidence.

Between God’s allness and God’s evidence there is no dream, no dreamer, no appearance, and no human struggling to perceive this Truth. All that is evident is the allness of God. Take a moment and say to yourself, “There is nothing between me (God-I AM) and God’s Evidence.” Thus:

There is only One Presence.
There is only One Power.
There is only One Evidence.

Live Like Truth Is Already True (Part 2)

God Is All
Live like Truth already is.” That’s exactly how the words came. Inquiring minds are asking, “But how?”

When you live like Truth already is, you don’t perform one single action in hope that it will improve your life. Why? Life is God and therefore is already perfect. Better than that: Life is Perfection itself. This means You! Living like Truth already is means that every move you make is to explore and enjoy the Perfection that is your life.

Your Financial Affairs

Take a look at your financial affairs. Living like Truth already is, what do you have to do to prosper yourself? Nothing! All that the Father has is yours – NOW. Isn’t God the source and substance of your prosperity? Aren’t you and God one? What, then, is necessary to prosper yourself? Nothing! You are already prospered beyond belief. You ARE prosperity.

Stop And Ask

The Absolutely Yours blog is meant to be lived. So let’s live this post. It’s simpler than you think.

First, reader, answer these questions:

  • Do you believe that God (or whatever term you use) is the only Presence and Power?
  • Do you believe that the nature of God is Perfection?

This is enough to work with. Start your day with a contemplation of the Isness of Truth. Follow that with a period of silent “listening”. This will reveal more clearly the Isness of Perfection, Love, Peace and Abundance. Do not skip this step.

Throughout the day you will do many things. Occasionally (trust me, you will know when) ask yourself, “Why am I doing this? Is it to change an appearance?” If the answer is “yes,” you can put the brakes on and confidently say to yourself, “Wait a minute. I don’t need to do this. Perfect Life, Activity and Experience are already the All.”

Joy Stepping

Your next step will be a joy step. You will move with a smile in your heart, joyfully basking in the awareness of Perfection’s ever-present Isness. Don’t be surprised to discover that the thing you thought you needed to do has already been done.

This is living like Truth already is. This is truly living.

God Is All

God Is All Allen White
That’s the title of my first book. And it’s true. God really is all. Reader, I’m warning you: there’s a lot of is-ing in this post.

Slowly repeat the words “God Is All,” but linger a little on the word “is”. Effortlessly, you will drift into contemplating the here and now of God. Don’t censor your contemplation. Let it go on to consider the fact that all that God is, is going on right now – right where you are.

It’s clear as a well washed window why Christ Jesus’ miracles were instantaneous. Behind every so-called miracle was the awareness of the here and now of God’s allness.

God’s allness never evolves into being. It already is. Just thinking about this may cause you to shiver with joy. It should, because the everpresent allness of God means:

    • Right now, God is all that there is of your Identity
    • Right now, God is all that there is of your Body
    • Right now, God is all that there is of your Environment

In short, the kingdom of heaven is already here.

Reader, don’t be duped believing that God won’t be all until you experience a revelation. God’s absolute allness is first. Revelation is second. God’s allness can only be revealed because it is already true.

So, don’t wait. Start right now acknowledging that God, and what God is (Love and Perfection) is all that there is. Look around you and claim God is all that there is. Look at the people where you are and claim God is all that there is here. Do troubles come to mind? Know that right where the trouble seems to be GOD IS ALL.

Make A Vow…Take A Bath

allen white God Is All

I am biased. I think that “Absolutely Yours” is a great blog. Do you realize that these blog posts are meant to be lived and not merely read? How To Take A Spiritual Bath (previous post) is good reading, but it’s better as a living practice. Live it and see for yourself!

Read, or re-read the previous post, and then make a vow to take a spiritual bath for seven consecutive days. To get the best “cleansing” effect, DO NOT USE THE “BATH” TO FIX OR HEAL YOUR BODY. BATHE FOR PLEASURE OF HONORING GOD AS YOUR BODY.

After you’ve bathed for seven consecutive days, share your story with me and our blog family. You know you can always contact me at

How To Take A Spiritual Bath

spirtual body

The Daily Ritual Is Not Enough

At some point in your day, you step into a hot tub of water with soap and sponge and wash away all the dried perspiration, dead skin cells, and other debris from your Body. Feeling refreshed, you step out of the tub, dry off, deodorize the body and get on with your day.

This daily ritual merely scrubs the surface of the Body. That’s not enough! Soap and sponges don’t reach the real “dirt” that fouls the Body: The dirt of dualism – those false ideas that we entertain about the body. Ideas like:

  • The Body is a biological organism
  • The Body is mortal and must die
  • The Body is changed by time
  • The Body is susceptible to disease

Is God All?

Reader, you say that God is all and that God is the only presence. You say that God is Spirit, Light, Perfection, and that God is birthless, deathless, timeless, ageless Life. All of this is true. Did you then reverse this position and say that the Body (yours) was born on a particular date? Did you contradict yourself by saying that your Body is governed by biological laws that cannot be ignored without your Body suffering terrible consequences?

Reader, you know that none of this filth is true about the God you say is all. And this leaves you at the crossroads: Either God is all and includes the Body, or God is not all.

If you choose wisely and truthfully that God is all, then all of the things you have said about your Body as a biological organism, conditioned by time, are LIES.

Deep Cleaning Your Body

Reader, I know your Body seems very “fleshy.” It appears like it is under the harsh dictatorship of mortality. Nevertheless, only what is true of God is true of your Body, and a deep cleansing of your Body will reveal a wonderfully healthy and vitally alive Body.

Just as you find it necessary, even mandatory, to wash away the day’s accumulation of debris from your Body, it is more important to wash away the dualistic ideas you may be entertaining about your Body.

Everyday, take a few minutes – just a few – to contemplate the spiritual nature of your Body. Start with what you know the nature of God to be. Then, simply include your Body as being the very same nature.

Let those ideas of materiality, mortality, age, disease, and time go down the drain. At some point during your contemplation you will know it is time for words to cease. Be silent, and listen for Consciousness (God) to “speak.” You will know when it’s time to get up. You’re clean. Go and enjoy the rest of your day.
