There’s Nothing Wrong With You

Why Does God Need So Much Help To Be God?

A lion is a lion. She doesn’t need to sit in silence for hours – even minutes – in order to roar. She doesn’t need to meditate and contemplate in order to claw her prey. A lion needs no assistance whatsoever in order to be a lion. And what of the lily and the lampstand? Neither do they have to do a single thing to be what they are.

Why does the game seem to change when it comes to God? God seems to need a lot of help to be God. God is supposedly the only presence, but this God seems to need a lot of prayer, meditation and contemplation in order to show up. Like a crooked picture hanging in the hallway, something is off kilter here. I’m merely blogging the same ideas that you’ve thought at least a dozen times. You probably said it like this: “If God is all, why do I have to pray?”

Stop Helping God

God (or whatever term you use) is the only Presence. Better still, God is Presence itself. And God does not need special help in order to BE Presence. God doesn’t need one single soul to sit in silent prayer for a single second in order to “show up.” God is the show.

God doesn’t need special contemplations, group meditations, chants or mantras in order to be Presence. God, by virtue of being All, is all that is present.

“But,” you say, “I ache so bad, and my life is in shambles. I’ve lost my reason and will to live. It seems that if I don’t pray, I don’t stand a chance of turning my life around.”

You Know The Truth

Reader. Only an identity imagining (and this has to be an imagination gone berserk) his life, mind, body and world to be something other than the One and Only could possibly think he needs to do anything for God to show up. You, reader, are not such an identity. You know what is true, and you know that you are the Truth that you know. How do I know this? Because God Is All.

Is Group Prayer Really Effective? (Surprising Answer)

group prayer allen white God is All

QUESTION: “Is group prayer more effective than praying solo? If I round up 20 people to pray for world peace, would that be more effective than 5 people praying — or just one person? In other words, where prayer is concerned, is there “strength in numbers”?

There is a tendency to think that group prayer is like building an army: if you have an army of 100 soldiers fighting on the battlefield, it has to be better than a scrimpy army of 10 gun-toting soldiers.

Also, there is the idea that the greater the number, the greater the effectiveness. A man, chased by a ginormous grizzly, reasons that firing 1000 bullets certainly must be more effective than firing just one bullet.

No Opponents, Just Revelation

When you seem to be dealing with an opponent, perhaps there is strength and effectiveness in numbers. Yet, IN PRAYER YOU ARE NOT CONTENDING WITH AN ADVERSARY. Prayer, right-focused prayer, is about the business of awareness, discernment, realization, and revelation. Simply put, prayer is about discerning God’s presence — and what God is — as the sum-total of existence.

While others cowered in fear and uncertainty, Christ Jesus often stood alone in His awareness of God’s Allness. And standing alone proved to be enough! Just one identity clearly perceiving the Isness of the Allness of God is always enough. However, there is a special value in group prayer.

What Makes Group Prayer Effective

Imagine that you seem to have a problem on the job — perhaps a personality clash. Each day the situation sours like lemon curdled milk. Being the much-loved person that you are, you easily gather 25 people to pray for you. Day and night, they pour their hearts into perceiving God’s presence as being all that is present as the totality of your work environment. Out of these 25 sincerely praying friends, one (and that’s all it takes) is bound to achieve the clarity that God is indeed the only Activity, Identity, and Evidence. Miracle of miracles, the next day you go to work it seems like your fairy godmother waved her magic wand over the office. All is love, light and laughter.

Don’t be deceived! The obvious assumption is that the dedicated prayers of the prayer group worked a miracle in your situation, but that wasn’t the case at all. It was the razor-sharp perception of that one person that revealed God’s Allness.

By the above example, you can see that the value of a large number of people praying is that at least one will experience a clear realization of God’s Allness. But you don’t need a group. You can be that one.

The Evidence Of Truth Is Right Where It Should Be

The Neglected Omni

Of all the omnis, you’ve probably read, said, and heard these two the most: omnipresence and omnipotence. One woman looked at me with pleading eyes and said, “Allen, you’ve got to come up with a new way of getting these ideas across. I can’t listen to one more omni-anything.” It’s a fact that when spiritual writers start writing about God, we bang away at these two omnis. So let’s move on to the most ignored, and perhaps the most important of all the omnis: OMNIEVIDENCE.

This word excites me! Say it to yourself a few times. By the end of this article, just a mental glance at the word Omnievidence will be more satisfying than a slice of mile-high apple pie topped with honey-bourbon caramel swirls.

Omnievidence Breakdown

Years ago, I noticed something interesting in a book by Emma Curtis Hopkins. (You have no idea how many letters I have in a box from people trying to convince me that I am the reincarnation of E.C. Hopkins.) In this book, Ms. Hopkins etymologically deconstructs the word omnipresence. To illustrate the breakdown, I am going to use the word Omnievidence.
Om = all
Ni (nil) = nothing
Evidence = evidence

Look at “Ni.” It sits securely and comfortably—almost smugly—between Om and Evidence. Did you figure out the breakdown? Here it is: THERE IS NOTHING (NO THING) BETWEEN THE ALLNESS AND THE EVIDENCE OF GOD’S PRESENCE.

God’s Evidence Is The Only Evidence

Reader. Haven’t you heard someone say, “Yes, I know all of that, but I just don’t see the evidence of it?” Don’t believe it! There is no person, place, condition or thing between God’s allness and God’s evidence.

Between God’s allness and God’s evidence there is no dream, no dreamer, no appearance, and no human struggling to perceive this Truth. All that is evident is the allness of God. Take a moment and say to yourself, “There is nothing between me (God-I AM) and God’s Evidence.” Thus:

There is only One Presence.
There is only One Power.
There is only One Evidence.

God Is All

God Is All Allen White
That’s the title of my first book. And it’s true. God really is all. Reader, I’m warning you: there’s a lot of is-ing in this post.

Slowly repeat the words “God Is All,” but linger a little on the word “is”. Effortlessly, you will drift into contemplating the here and now of God. Don’t censor your contemplation. Let it go on to consider the fact that all that God is, is going on right now – right where you are.

It’s clear as a well washed window why Christ Jesus’ miracles were instantaneous. Behind every so-called miracle was the awareness of the here and now of God’s allness.

God’s allness never evolves into being. It already is. Just thinking about this may cause you to shiver with joy. It should, because the everpresent allness of God means:

    • Right now, God is all that there is of your Identity
    • Right now, God is all that there is of your Body
    • Right now, God is all that there is of your Environment

In short, the kingdom of heaven is already here.

Reader, don’t be duped believing that God won’t be all until you experience a revelation. God’s absolute allness is first. Revelation is second. God’s allness can only be revealed because it is already true.

So, don’t wait. Start right now acknowledging that God, and what God is (Love and Perfection) is all that there is. Look around you and claim God is all that there is. Look at the people where you are and claim God is all that there is here. Do troubles come to mind? Know that right where the trouble seems to be GOD IS ALL.

It’s Never Too Late (Healing Testimony Part 2)

Most of you have read the first healing testimony of the Womacks. It was the foundation for my sermon, There Is No Incurable Disease. This is the second part of the story that emphasizes the fact that since disease is not a presence or power, it’s never too late to know what is true.

Allen,

There is another part to the story of my wife I would like to share with you. About 15 years ago she was diagnosed with COPD/emphysema. At that time she bought into the diagnosis completely. Of course her mother had COPD and her identical twin sister had COPD. She has commented several times if she only knew then what she knows today.

She knows all the COPD medicine ads on TV and Doctors continually reminding everyone that COPD is irreversible are just opinions. After her journey with the diagnosed cancer she has commented that it is time to be free of the COPD idea.

She knows and constantly affirms her Soul, Spirit, and Body are not different elements. They are one, and that One is God. She is perfect, whole, and complete.Last week she had chest X-rays and the Doctor compared those X-Rays to the ones taken in August. The Doctor told us what he saw. “Her lungs show a marked improvement from the August X-Ray. Her comment was – “they see what she already knows”.

We have realized – No matter if it’s a perceived condition or idea you have been carrying for a long period time, or something that is sprung on you in an emergency room, knowing “God is All” and “I Am the God that is All” reveals the Truth – We are perfect, whole and complete.

Thank you again for all you do and all you have done for Tracy and me.

From Love

Want To Be A Better Practitioner — Results Guaranteed

spiritual healing

Practitioners Are Not Healing And What To Do About It

On a Christian Science website, I read a comment complaining that Practitioners of today are no good because they don’t heal. The writer suggested that the higher-ups in the Christian Science movement should get busy and find an effective way to separate the Practitioners who actually “heal” from the Practitioners who merely want to “heal.”

Could the complainer be right? When I was just a puppy in Truth, I called Marie Watts for healing and before an hour passed I was “healed.” I remember calling Eileen Bowden for prayer help and immediately I sprang out of bed, dressed myself, and dashed off to a concert. The healing was instantaneous. There was no waiting days and weeks for a healing.

It seems that today’s Practitioners are better reference librarians than “healers.” Most of them can quote entire books of Joel Goldsmith, Mary Baker Eddy or Marie Watts, and most ask their callers to read related passages from some inspirational book. But, there is no healing.

If you are a Practitioner, or someone who would like to pray more effectively for so-called others, I offer a simple suggestion that is guaranteed to increase the effectiveness of your prayers.

The Simple Suggestion

Practitioner, if you seem to have a longstanding trouble(s), clear it up. Take a look at the list of dis-eases below:
• Financial
• Emotional
• Body
• Social (not sexual)
• Etc.

Rather than continue to endure the dis-ease, clear it up through spiritual discernment. Practitioner, don’t hide under the cloak of denial thinking, “After all, nobody knows that I am suffering from this, so I can just go on ignoring it.” Stop this insanity!

Reader, I guarantee that once you prayerfully address this thing that you have tolerated for all these years – once you get down to prayerful business discerning God’s allness more clearly (clear enough to completely realize the nothingness of your seeming dis-ease) – the effectiveness of your prayers will soar to astounding heights.

You Are The Splendor (Top-Ten Books)

mw

This is the last book on our must-reads list. Marie Watts pours her heart into You Are The Splendor. Below are some excerpts:

thumb

Just as a mistake in mathematics calls your attention to the perfect mathematical fact, so it is that any appearance of evil serves to call your attention to some specific good, or God. God is Perfection; thus Perfection is a universal as well as a specific fact. Any appearance of imperfection serves to call your attention to the perfect Principle, which is Perfection. A mistake can seem to be troublesome, or evil, only so long as it is mistaken for a fact. Once your attention is focused upon the perfect fact, the mistake is canceled. It simply vanishes.

[ a poem]
I AM the only One, the All,
I AM the One ‘pon whom I call
when darkness doth appear,
or when I seem to fear
some presence, power, or blight
that could obscure the Light.
I AM the heaven and the earth;
I AM the Life that knows no birth,
no change, no age, no death.
I AM the One, the only MInd,
the One it seemed that I must find,
till I awoke to see
the I AM that is ME.

To recognize that the Christ Consciousness is your Consciousness means to accept the fact that you can see as Jesus saw; you can know as he knew; you can experience as he experienced; and you can be what he was, and is.

The Questions That Must Be Answered (Top-Ten Books)

aw

I am going to preface the excerpts by first acknowledging that the opinions of reviewers and readers alike differ from what my thinking is. God Is All was a successful book that went through several print runs. Reviewers and readers oohed and aahed over the Lord’s Prayer chapter. That was not my favorite.

thumb

It would be wise  now to make a list of those questions on which you seek light.  You might title it, “Things I Always Wanted To Know But Didn’t Know Who To Ask.”  Some of your questions might be:

  • Who is God?
  • What is God?
  • Is God (really) all there is?
  • Who am I?
  • What is my purpose of existence?
  • What is God’s purpose?
  • etc.
thumb

Again, it may seem as though God is revealing Himself to someone separate from His very own omnipresent being.  This is not the case at all.  Someone has described it as God revealing Himself to Himself.  If there be any revelation, this must be true… At the very point or revelation, the Mind of God, the only Mind, makes Itself known.  The sense of personal mind with its limitations is dissolved and not even known or experienced.

thumb

What is glorious about Divine Revelation is the manifestation that accompanies what is revealed.  There is always some corroboration in one’s experience of that which is revealed.  Why is this? …The consciousness that is aware is the substance of that which  it is aware.
