Playing Footsies With Nonsense (Top Ten List-Aiken)

Below is an excerpt from the “Top-Ten List.” Alfred Aiken can knee-slapping funny. Most of his humor comes out in the letters he writes to folk seeking his help. In the back of most of Aiken’s books are letters he wrote. The following excerpts are sample letters from Bachelor God.

Dear _________,

Your letter just reached me. Maybell, you are either trying to heal God, or something beside God. To try to heal God is folly, for God IS Truth, Omnipresent, All. To try to heal something beside God is a denial of Omnipresent-Truth-that-is-All-Alone, hence you have no Truth to work with. Only an assumed mind that is arrogant, conceited, inane would presume such nonsense.

I never say, “error, disease, trouble is nothing.” I always being with the Fact that ALL is ALL. Truth precludes another sense, state, mind or condition. I do not start out by robbing God, Omnipresence, Pure Perfection, of Its Allness, for such would be dis-honest and leave me with no Truth.

Dear _____________,

I beg you , stop playing “footsies” with nonsense. It is not a disease, not a diagnosis, nor a prognosis you contend with; it is not the doctor’s opinion, not a body, not smallpox, not a disorder, but merely that you accept the suggestion that TRUTH IS FALSE–that Truth is NOT THE SOLE, THE ONLY MIND.

To assume that your husband “isn’t ready” for Truth, or that he has a mind with which to have an opinion either good or bad, is to accept all that goes with duality, impurity! There is ONLY ONE MIND…

Dear ______________,

So long as you “tolerate” a Jones-mind, you’ll have all that goes with this absurdity. So long as you insist or “claim” you have “another mind,” you’ll have “another” pain, lack, or whatever (“poverty” and “arthritis” are both of the same so-called, mind duality!)–you’ll be playing prodigal, and all of your “crying out to a Lord God” will avail you nothing!

To start with Truth ONLY, is to BE free. You don’t need to, and can’t “heal” Mind, Truth, Omnipresent Awareness–and there is no other. Why try to heal or help that which is NOT TRUTH.

Our Readers Write

Last week Pam sent me an email telling me how much she enjoyed the post, “I Hurt So Bad I Can’t Get Still”. I asked her if there was any subject she would like me to blog about, and she responded. I enjoyed her response so much that I am sharing it with you.

Hi Allen,

I was thinking of things that might be worth writing about for your blog. You asked me if I had anything I might like be interested in reading about.

I was thinking that the kindest thing we can ever ‘do’ for someone else is to know Who They Are. Of course, this amounts to the kindest thing we can ever do for ourselves! Because of course, that’s the way Love works! We’re Them, Loving Ourselves!

I recently found a letter my Grandmother had written to me when I was a little child. I never knew her – she lived in England. We never even met. I didn’t remember ever having written to her as a child or receiving any letters from her. And yet here was this letter. She has long since died. I read the letter and felt a little tinge of sadness. Then I remembered Who She Is! And knowing That, Her Being Completely Complete, I knew too, that there can never be anything missing, from her, from me, from our relationship. It mattered not, that we had never met and hardly knew each other! My Grandmother Is It! We’re All It.

It occurs to me that That is All I ever need know. The world Is It. Already! Nothing to ‘fix’, nothing to ‘do’! And knowing That, I’m Free. Free to do whatever I choose to do. And in my Perfect Freedom, all I would choose to do is keep knowing Who I Am, Who All Are. And I’ll keep doing that as I go about my day, making my day a Perfect day!

Wow. It’s Amazing.

Sending Love!!!
Pam

I Hurt So Bad I Can’t Get Still — Don’t Believe It

asking a question

If I took inventory of the most frequently asked questions, this one tops the list:

“Allen, what about the times when it hurts so bad
that you can’t quiet your mind to hear the still small voice?”

I will answer this question with two real-life scenarios.

SCENARIO #1

Roland lunges to catch the football and lands on his ankle (the one he broke last year). He lies motionless on the field until help arrives – approximately 3 minutes. By this time, his ankle is the size of a grapefruit. “Just get me home. I’ll be alright.”

At home, Roland tries to pray, but every time he closes his eyes, the pain flashes them open to see if the ankle is any bigger. Never mind. Roland knows that in a few minutes his parents will rush him to the Emergency Room where he will be medicated and tranquilized.

Now Roland can comfortably settle down to listen for the voice of Revelation.

SCENARIO #2

Sonia rushes out of the house to catch her cat, slips on the welcome mat and lands on her right knee. She lies there for a moment. Sonia tries to pray, but the pain won’t let her.

Turning solely to prayer has always worked for Sonia, so she reasons to herself, “This is tough, but I’ve got to settle down. For me, there’s no other option but to realize God’s presence. Let me see if I can get still for just ten seconds. That should be easy.”

It’s not…so Sonia reasons again, “Let me try just five seconds of listening.” That works. After a few of these five-second prayers, Sonia senses that all is well. But the pain lingers. In prayer, Sonia asks, “What more do I need to know?” Later she hears the words, “I am all; I cannot fall. I am Spirit; I cannot be broken. I am all.” Before the sun goes down, Sonia is walking and working as if nothing ever happened.

CONCLUSION

If the only way to get to the other side of the river is to go through the water, you go through the water!

Roland could’ve made the same decision and experienced the same results that Sonia did, but in Roland’s mind, he had an option to get a little help from the “medicine man”.

Sonia, however, could quiet down and experience a quick healing because it was her only acceptable way.

BOTTOM LINE: No matter how bad it seems, you are the power to be still and know.

Real Love

You Are Infinity

Do you take a few moments each day to contemplate your Identity? Then consider this one important FACT: Whether you are sitting in your favorite chair, standing in line at the grocery store, or lying on the bed, the I AM that YOU ARE is not confined to that location. Although YOU include your body-form, and your so-called environment in the I AM that you ARE, YOU (being Infinity itself) are not confined to anything or anywhere. YOU ARE BOUNDLESS BEING. You are Infinity being Infinite.

Right now, you are probably asking yourself what any of this has to do with Love. The truth you read in the first paragraph is true of every reader of this blog. It is true of every identity that you know (whether they seem to “be in truth” or not). And because you, your friends, and neighbors IS (singular on purpose) Infinity being infinite, ALL IS ONE and ONE IS ALL.

In this oneness, separation is merely the fabrication of a human imagination. And since the human being is a non-being, right where there seems to be separation is ONENESS IN ACTION. This is Real Love.

Walking The Talk

Now take this off the screen into your daily life. You see dozens of people throughout the day. It appears that each identity that you see is confined to their body form, and each one is separate from the other. They are not. As you are talking with people at the office, the store, and most of all at home, say to yourself, “This identity that I am talking with is not confined to this form standing here. She is boundless being–Infinity being infinite.”

But also say (or know) to yourself, “I am not confined to this body form standing here. I am boundless being. My “I” and their “I” is one inseparable I. There is no place where her Infinity leaves off and mine begins. It is One.”

If you are conscious of these facts throughout the day, you would need life to be eternal just to hunt up the right words to describe how your “relationships” have changed for the indescribably better.

This is Real Love.

Where Is My Healing?

man holding a compass

Rev. Allen many times you’ve said that revelation equals manifestation. One time you even called it the “Fulfillment Formula.” For years, I’ve been dealing with a particular chronic disease. I followed your advice. I prayed, but my prayer was not for a healing. My prayer was simply, “God reveal Thyself.” Isn’t this what you said? Well, sure enough , I experienced that special peace that you talk about…but I wasn’t healed. Today, months later, I’m still dealing with the same issue. Maybe there’s a flaw in the “Formula.” Where do I go from here?

It’s time to address this issue as I have run out of fingers, toes, and limbs counting the times I’ve heard someone suggest that the “Formula” doesn’t work, and that revelation doesn’t always equal manifestation. But this is a science and it always works.

When you make a mistake in the science of math, don’t you go back to check every calculation? Similarly, when things don’t seem to come out right in Spiritual Science, you have to go back and check your “work.” Below are a few “Formula” essentials.

The Revelation

When people tell me that they were not healed, my first question is, “Specifically what revelation were you expecting to see evidenced?” [long pause] “Um…Well, I didn’t really experience a revelation.” That’s the typical response. You see the formula does work: No revelation = no manifestation.

In my many experiences of being healed through prayer alone, I always “heard” a Truth that I could articulate. Because Truth cannot be fully expressed in words, sometimes I sputtered and stuttered trying to explain my revelation. The important thing is that something was revealed.

Relying solely on a feeling of deep peace and a sense that all is well does not always show forth as a so-called healing. True, in some instances it does happen but when it doesn’t, more revelation is required. That’s when I ask Consciousness, “What else is it that I need to perceive here?”

The Big Shift

When Myrtle Fillmore (co-founder of the Unity movement) realized “I am a child of God, I can’t be sick,” her reality shifted from a woman wasting away from tuberculosis to a woman forever whole and perfect. No, the healing was not immediate, but the shift in awareness and reality was.

Once Truth is revealed, there is a shift. The reality is no longer what it seemed to be. The revealed Truth is Reality. When this reality-shift occurs, there are no more concerns and no more questions about the appearance.

If you are still asking, “Where is my healing?” the appearance is still your seeming reality. If this is the case, it’s back to the “Chamber of Silence” asking, “What more do I need to perceive here?”

Stick-to-itiveness

This is easy. If you’ve had the reality-shift, you will stick to revealed Truth like superglue! Truth-be-told, you aren’t so much sticking to Truth as if Truth is something separate from you. You realize that you are the Truth that has been revealed.

In all that’s been written, reader, do know that you can never be healed. Truth does not heal. Truth reveals that you have never been sick. What appears as a healing is the conscious experience of Truth evidenced.

Body Month (The How-Tos)

body o light allen white
The “Body Month” is a month you choose,  where your prayerful focus is on discovering, understanding, and contemplating the truth of your Body.

The Questions

During this “month,” you retreat to your God Consciousness and ask such questions as:

  • What is the Body?
  • Why do I have a Body?
  • Is the Body real, or is it an illusion?*
  • Was this Body born?
  • What is it about this Body that is most important for me to realize?

Above  are just suggested questions. Whether you use these questions or not, I strongly suggest that you consider the last question being one of the questions that you ask.

Listening For The Answer

Anyone can reason out the answer to these questions, but there is no power in a reasoned-out answer. You want a God-Revealed answer. After you’ve asked your question, the important thing is listening for the answer.

Contemplation

Self-Questioning and Listening are just two aspects of the “Body Month.” Contemplation is the other equally important aspect. Contemplation is calmly pondering the Body from a God Is All point-of-view. But more than that, contemplation is a calm, effortless consideration of the Body knowing that the God Is All point-of-view is the only Reality of the Body–your Body.

Now It’s Up To You

Fellow Absolutists, choose today which month will be your “Body Month.” Make your list of body-related questions. Once you actually begin your month, this is your short list of Daily Dos:

  1. Choose one or two questions. Take one question at a time and listen expectantly for the answer. Often, the answers are not instantaneous. Be patient. When you start getting antsy, get up and come back later. Above all, don’t reason out your answers.
  2. Contemplate your Body from a God Is All point-of-view.

How Wonderful You Are (a spontaneous contemplation)

how wonderful you are swan pictue
Early this afternoon, I sat down to contemplate. Before I fully closed my eyes, the words just came forth. Yes, I know the language sounds a bit archaic, but something seems just plain wrong about editing a Revelation. Reader the Truth below is the Truth of your Being.

I Am Wealth, and I need do nothing in order to Be the Wealth that I Am.

I Am Health, and I need do nothing in order to Be the Health that I Am.

I Am Joy, and I need do nothing in order to Be the Joy that I Am.

I Am Illumination, and I need do nothing in order to Be The Illumination that I Am.I do not have to pray in order to Be the Wealth that I Am.

I do not have to sit in the silence in order to Be what I Am.

I pray and meditate just to bask in the radiant glory that I Am.
